I have been using this add-on for several months now after using Download Express for several years. While the download pause/resume feature gets used infrequently, it has been a huge time saver when large downloads must be interrupted. Even more valuable to me is the ability to queue up multiple downloads and throttle the download speed as I have to share the somewhat limited DSL bandwidth with the rest of the family.

This addon is supposed to increase download speed up to 4x, but I never see any speed increases on my Cable internet connection. I haven't tested it yet, but it would probably bring small speed increases to lower speed internet connections. The DownThemAll feature of this addon is awesome. It allows the user to download all links, images, etc, from a single webpage. Very useful. To wrap up my review of this addon, it is great as a download manager, but not so great as a means to speed up your downloads.

Renaming mask is really great feature. But, whenever update this add-on, customized masking rules are deleted.
And it would be better if "Description" (Download Information -> Options:Description) could be used as "renaming mask tag" as well.

As some of the others here, I cannot minimize DTA any longer. This is really disturbing. Don't know, if it's the new FF6 or the fault of Minimize to tray or DTA? But DTA makes some "advertising" on its sites for the combination with Minimize to tray - so a fix would be fine!

This is great addon, however I'm having the same issue reported by a couple of other posters. MinimizetoTray is no longer working. I am using the most current versions. The check box remains grayed out in the preferences screen.

WAS good once upon a time. The last few versions have a real problem: if your download speed gets to 2Mb/s (or so), DTA will randomly restart a download (a real problem when you have 1.6G downloaded and the file restarts at 0!).
This happens on FF4, 5, 6 all from clean installs and on different computers.

Very nice add-on! I like it.
anyway, here below a couple of suggestions for future development:
1) please update to seamonkey 2.3.* or above (i tried to force it, but I receive a message saying "corrupted file" - same procedure in the past was successfully!)
2) put an option to be able hiding download window while DL are in progress (not to traybar and not in status bar, but something similar of CTRL+J). This suggestion is to have a better integration in FF/SM

Download Directory NOT Remembered...We are supposed to be able to define the Download Directory in the selection dialog; BUT this setting is not remembered and has to be set each time... Filters are remembers, but DL Dir is not... And this is w'out closing FF and thus clearing history -- but that shouldn't be an issue anyway since EVERYONE uses privacy settings...

....This one issue makes it a pain to use because it always goes back to the default directory... Otherwise very nice.
