My Reviews

Smilie Inserter

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Operates fine in TB 2.0.0.17 with only one difficulty: Not only does it insert a smilie button in the Formatting Toolbar, it also adds the verbiage next to it "Insert Smilie". This is quite long and when the contacts sidebar is open it necessitates adding a scroll bar via userchrom.css in order to view the normal TB smilie icon.

"Insert Smilie" is included in the .jar as a button label, however I have been unsuccessful removing it without destroying the button entirely.

Any ideas as to how to correct this would be appreciated.

(Inadvertantly left this review in SeaMonkey as well.)

TB Header Tools Extension

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Probably the 2nd best extension I've tried! Primary usage is for changing the Subject of incoming msgs to something that has significance.

Now to find time to spend a day or so going back through years of kept msgs! Will start with Cybernet where there are only about 450!

Exit Button Thunderbird

Although it's a great feature for Firefox, I don't understand the purpose in TB. If several msgs are open in different windows, hitting the X closes them. And adding the Exit Button does not cause those windows to restore on the next start (is this a bug?)

Also we have the keyboard shortcut Cntrl/Q to File/Exit which is a no-brainer.

Auto Zip Attachments

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Had been looking for a method to zip files after attaching in TB and was told of this extension today. Great feature that does all that is needed. The only question I have is how can the default unzipper be changed?

Send Later (old)

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It doesn't exactly as claimed and it certainly makes it easy to send msgs at a later time -- such as at an ungodly hour. Furthermore, a msg to be sent later is kept in the particular account's draft folder, not in Local Folders which is quite annoying.

The only reason I give it a 9 instead of a 10 is the possibility of adding functions.
