I had tried the Add-on 'Track Package', but that failed within an hour of installation so I searched for an alternative. I then found this Add-on, installed it and restarted FF. Thus far, I am quite satisfied. If it continues to work as it has initially I will be delighted as it is incredibly useful if you need to track many packages. I will use this for a few days and report any problems or idiosyncrasies.

This is a really nice addon for tracking packages - indeed, the best I have found. The only negative I can note is that there are frequent website pauses for up to a minute or more when you click track, which becomes rather frustrating. Support has been responsive to this on the two times I have complained, but it seems like the problem should not be happening as often as it does.

Edit 12/23/12: Performance issues persist.

We appreciate your quality feedback and are aware of the performance issues. We are investigating the cause and options for solving the problem. We appreciate your patience. Thank you.

Seems like this add-on has been abandoned. Not compatible with Thunderbird 7. Love the website, wish they would update their add-ons.

The extension has been updated so it can be installed on Thunderbird 7.

It would be great if this was made in a version for 3.1.2. It's listed as compatible, but when I attempted to install it Thunderbird said otherwise. I'm sure anyone using Mac OS X would appreciate it greatly. Haven't used it yet, but I'll give it 5 stars for now.

How about a cute icon signifying "stub extension leading directly to commercial web site"?

I can deal with an EPIC FAIL involving SSL, and I can deal with Microsoft Foundation Classes needing to be disabled (!?), and I can even deal with a DoubleClick cookie that rises from the dead unless and until Firefox is uninstalled, hunted down, and killed in detail. Nobody's perfect.

But all these amateurish errors PLUS peddling users to for-profit webmasters drives me to the point of minor irritation. Excuse me while I send a blast-mail to my elderly user community warning them that although Firefox has fixed the online-banking problem, it's showing signs of diving head first into the nickel-a-sucker address selling business. Thanks for making my day.

P.S. Track Package 2.4 cooperates with UPS, at least, with right-click simplicity. Check it out.

I love this extension, and it works fine in Firefox 3.5.2.
But I'm using Thunderbird 3.0b3 and it just doesn't work. When I highlight a tracking number in an email message, then right click....I get the context menu but there is no item on it to select to track the package.
I've switched back to a previous version of TB and it worked...but I like the newer Thunderbird so much I guess I'll have to do without this extension til they get it working with TB 3.0b3....PLEASE HURRY! :)

I LOVE THIS APP! its fantastic in my line of business the more accurate the shipping the better. I guess if i have to complain about anything its that when ever i use the feature it always automatically goes to the new tab if there was a way to make it so the new tab opens and i can go to it at a later time that would make it better i have a lot of tracking ids i have to open up sometimes and it stinks having to go back and forth.

That is an option inside of Firefox. Tools->Options->Tabs->When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it automatically. Un-check that and see if that doesn\'t solve your problem.

It is interesting to see where your packages go before ending up at your house.
