Ive had nothing but GRIEF for Large files over a GB in size! Im using Windows 7 with Firefox 3.6.10.

I'm downloading three files, the first two are smaller files and download very well!
HOWEVER ....I've downloaded the same 1.1GB file *NINE* times thus far, and EVERY download has anywhere from one to three errors! The errors in each instance affect different files.

If anyone has a clue ... Please let me know what to do!

Thanks Gang!

Best FTP. I won't upgrade to Firefox 4 until there's a FireFTP that works on Firefox 4. Period. Filezilla's okay, Cyberduck's hohum, ws_ftp's drab. FireFTP has stamina! It insists upon an upload, when the connection is flakey (which mine sometimes is). When I tried the FF4 Beta and saw that FireFTP didn't work, within 5 minutes I re-installed FF3!

What an excellent ftp program that runs with the browser. Really well created software and very easy to use. I can't see a reason why I would stay with my trusted stand alone software over this

This tool is an excellent. Still one thing I am missing. It does not allow copying files on the server side, only cut and paste is possible. Hopefully the developer will read this comment.

I'm DYING for a Firefox 4.0 version! This is one of the best FTP clients I've ever used. In times like these I almost wish it was a standalone app so that a new release of Firefox doesn't leave me without this extension for a while!

I looked at a dozen paid sftp clients for Mac, trying to find one with a serious search feature. Nothing. Then I found FireFtp - its currently searching a huge server, right from the top, for a file I'd never find by hand. Bravo.

FireFTP works great....until you want to upload something more then 2GB. Then it just pukes out a error saying the transfer failed and to try again. So it seems it is limited to 2GB file transfers as I was able to use an alternate program to upload the same file to the same server that I had failed to do with FireFTP. For this reason I will have to give this program a 3 out of 5 star rating.

All you can ask from any FTP client, right in your browser, good job.

I also have used this & am delaying my move to Firefox 4 until this add-on is updated to work with it. I've made a donation in thanks for Mime's work so far, and plan to do so again after the update! :-) Thanks!

FireFTP has been a saving grace for me for years. I have installed in on countless computers around the world and it has facilitated my life to the point where I have taken it for granted. It's current incompatibility has reminded me of the donation screen that comes up when you install it. I never donated, and I wonder how many have done the same as me. I wonder if the lack of upgrade is a result of a donations deficit? I will donate a tidy sum if an upgrade is made available, and think that others should as well if they haven't already. It's been too valuable for me to continue being such an ass. I hope Mime Čuvalo sees this and knows that his work is appreciated by me and countless others. Don't lose faith! We will support you as you have supported us!

Superbly useful, as a web developer I constantly need to upload / download resources to our various web servers, over FTP. Not having to run a separate program, and being able to manage the operations from a browser window is invaluable. In fact, it's one of the reasons (together with Firebug) that I stick with Firefox as my preferred browser.
