tasks & mails

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Excellent :)
One suggestion: create a new task (and link it to a mail) by drag&dropping a piece of the mail's body from the message pane to the task pane (and putting by default that selected text in the task description, and the title of the mail in the task title).
Also, when using the right menu entry "Link to a new task" on a message where some text has already been selected, do the same as above.
Would easily allow to create multiple tasks from a single global email...
Thanks :)

Excellent and useful, thanks :)
I just would like to have an option to avoid changing the graphical type of cursor... because when you want to click on a column on the left hand to mark a mail read for instance, the cursor changes and clicking with an arrow is not nice:)

Tool Tabs for Thunderbird

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent, thanks!
Two remarks:
- menus in compose tab and ad book tabs have not the same font as the main menu (win XP)
- is there a way to have any new mail (either by new may, forward or reply to) be opened in a new tab?
Thanks

Compose for Thunderbird

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just opened a new mail, and....WOW!!!
5 stars for the idea and the initiative :)
Haven't tested it yet though (but will have some trouble at the office, as the Contacts addon does not connect to LDAP for the moment, as far as I know)

Excellent, this is a terrific huge step ahead for Thunderbird into big Corporations who rely on Outlook...like mine ;)

In order to be compact-tolerant, do you intend to use the Gloda database some day?
This limitation is a deal-breaker to me, sadly.
Thanks

Expression Search

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Sorry to waste so much space with my reviews :p But they are positive, so...

The new option to have the "ExpressionSearch" virtual folder being persistent not only allows you to mark it as "Preferred" without the setting being lost when restarting TB, but also you can edit the properties of the "ExpressionSearch" virtual folder to specify once for all which of your physical folders should be searched or not with a global non-faceted search (CTRL+Enter).

Maybe this is worth adding it to the help section.

@CubiqA, the help page is available from the "About Expression Search" popup, in the AddOn manager.

Excellent update with version 0.5, thanks a lot.

LightningButton

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

hi rsjtdrjgfuzkfg
So you're not only working on Songbird add-ons ;)
Say, would it be possible to add 2 new buttons, or maybe one at least:
- a button to convert a mail into a task
A second one could be there to convert a mail into an event, but I think the task one is more important.
Thanks

Thanks for that very helpful tool at work
One thing though: could the panel be completely closed by dragging the left side to the right? it is really too intrusive at the moment IMHO.

Thanks for the update for TB 3.1 . I think it this add-on is still relevant, besides the new quick-filter, as you can:
- mix several criteria like t:xx f:yy
- lauch a global search or a local one from the same field
Both ways go along well and are complementary, IMHO

ReminderFox

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Could be the missing link between tasks and mails in TB+lightning. But unfortunately, support of such a link is very weak, as all emphasis in ReminderFox is on reminders, very little on tasks.
Of course, if Lightning was doing that from scratch, I would not be here :)
My great expectations either in ReminderFox or in Lightning are disappointed for the moment.

WAT (WebApplicationTab)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent addon, thanks :)
I'm just missing 2 features for the moment:
- an nice icon for the toolbar (with a drop down menu on it, as in the tools menu)
- a way to copy the URL of the current page (may be a right click option somewhere on the tab)

And in my dreams, a bookmark toolbar to definitely replace Firefox by Thunderbird for 90% of my browsing needs.
