Version 0.1.3.20080529
This version is FF3 compatibility update for version 0.1.0.20080529 for FF2.
This add-on works only on x86-based Windows and Linux OSes.
This version adds/updates following features to existing public version (0.0.2.20070320):
- XPCOM API
- In order to make installation easier, this version uses XERCES-C++ 2.8.0 only for all x86 based supported platforms. You can download the platform specific binary directly from the Apache download area. This version does not use Apache XALAN C++ library. As a result, this version does not support XPATH and XSLT in Transform elements of XML signature.
- Significantly improved the XPCOM based API for XML Digital Signature processing; Document signature can be requested either by a set of parameters or a partially filled XML signature element. The KeyInfo element is automatically generated from the certificate used to sign the document.
- Added support W3C XML Encryption processing spec by creating a XPCOM API around Apache XML security C++ library. This version now supports both encryption and decryption of XML documents.
- Added improved support for XPCOM API for creating, signing, encrypting and decrypting SAML Assertions (for both versions 1.1 and 2)
- XUL GUI
- Added XBL based templates for viewing/editing XML signatures elements. You can now create your own customized singing form using template elements.
- Added XBL based template for viewing/editing XML Encryption elements
- A XUL based Wizard for composing work flow for signing, verification, encryption and decryption processes
- Added XBL based template for viewing/editing SAML Assertion elements
- Converted the Self-signed SAML Token tool to a general purpose SAML Assertion tool;
Currently, the SAML Assertion tool supports creation of Attribute Assertions only. Self-signed SAML Token tool is now one of the options of the tools.
- Added support for creating W3C HTML Signing Profile (http://www.w3.org/2007/11/h6n/) based signature for HTML documents; Also, an icon in status bar of the browser displays signature profile if a signed page is loaded. Modify the HTML signature preference to enable it.
This add-on works only on x86-based Windows and Linux OSes.
