I've been using this add-on for probably more than an year already, and I have to say that it's really amazing. Every time I install Firefox, this is one of the first add-ons I get.
It would only be great if it used Firefox's high quality downscaling, when the pictures need to be downscaled to fit the window, to reduce the aliasing.

Nice Job.It would be great if the full-size image automatically (or manually by a hot-key for example when ctrl is down) will be saved to disk when it popped up.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.6.1-signed).The 's' hotkey without Control will let you save the full-size image. It pops up a dialog to say where to save it; preferences control the default filename.

Excellent. Now I can go back to the older Google Search and not waste time with the extra clicks.

loved the addon, worked just fine. But this latest firefox version broke it. Already tried restarting, disabling etc. Just broken.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.6.1-signed).which ff version has the problem? What operating system?

Really useful addon. Working fine so far, only 1 minor thing that is even when I set maximum size is Screen, the picture can't get past the windows' taskbar. Not much of a problem though.
Thanks.

It's a nice extension, useful in some cases, but it works even when it should not. Just an example: I go to the OpenStreetMap site (http:www.openstreetmap.org) and start browsing the map ; as soon as I hover the mouse on it, a panel appears, magnifying the pointed map tile (which I need to see as it is) and covering other tiles near it (which i need to see as they are, as well). I've looked into the options but there seems to be no way to disable the plugin for openstreetmaps.org; think a "disable for this page/site" option, accessible from the status bar icon, would be welcome...Regards,Max - Italy

This was a great extension but recently it has stopped working. I have enabled and disabled it repeatedly with no luck. Please fix.

Hey! Like you have written before there are hotkeys like s, n, t for enlarged thumbnails, but I miss option to open full image in inactive tab so I can open several images in short time. Please add this functionality :) Your addon is great because it links to indirect and embedded images hidden behind html subpages. BTW There's such addon like "Browse Images" which can open all large images in one tab but it works only with direct images... It would be great to see this in your addon. Regards
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.5.1-signed).Good idea about opening in a background (inactive) tab. I've made the 'b' key do that in version 2.6beta1 and upcoming version 2.6. Version 2.6beta1 is available here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/thumbnail-zoom-plus/versions/

"Pop-up takes keyboard focus" - a truer statement has never been made, whether the box is checked or not. This is highly annoying for me, since my mouse is not on a level surface (can't be helped) and tends to drift. If it drifts over an image, whatever I was typing is lost and odds are Firefox is now opening a new tab. Annoying. However, that is my ONLY complaint about this add-on.

Edit: Reply to suggestion
That seems to have done the trick. Thank you!
I was not using hotkeys, so it was no loss and all gain! :)
Yes, focus can be a problem, especially on Linux. It may help to turn off the Thumbnail Zoom Plus "hotkeys" preference so you don't accidentally open images in new tabs (though you'll lose the benefit of hotkeys too).

Most useful extension for FF, but it's also my only extension that crashes the browser before the browser can even open D:
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.5.1-signed).The problem seems to be fixed in Firefox Nightly 26.0a1 2013-09-04.

Do not install this, if you use latest 32bit nightly 26.0a1 (disabled compatibility check), because it will stop firefox to boot up -> Instead it will directly show mozilla crash reporter(no, I have 20 other addons installed and go step for step installing them again, firefox broke only when installing Thumbnail Zoom Plus)I hope for an update, because this is a very nice addon.
Edit: Yes, I know what Nightly means, but keep in mind, that it is only your addon that is affected to this firefox bug. Nevertheless, your work is amazing, I love it and your fast reply. Thx.
The problem seems to be fixed in Firefox Nightly 26.0a1 2013-09-04.
Most users don't use the "Nightly" version and so weren't affected by this. This was a bug in Firefox, not Thumbnail Zoom Plus: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=911204 .

Addon is awesome, but stopped working after recent FF update :(
EDIT: Works perfectly after computer restart :)
Which version of Firefox and Thumbnail Zoom Plus are you running, and on what operating system? Thumbnail Zoom Plus 2.5 should work with Firefox 25.0a1 and older. Email reply to firefox.add.on@davidadler.name . Thanks.

Breaks my banking application in a conversation for sending payments!!
Furthermore it works great.
If you tell me the web address of your banking application I can disable it there to avoid the problem. I only need the part before the //slashes. You can email to firefox.add.on@davidadler.name .
You could also temporarily disable it by clicking the Thumbnail Zoom Plus toolbar button (View > Toolbars > Add-on Bar and/or View > Toolbars > Customize if you don't see the button).
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
