Very badly needed this, but a way to go yet. If you have text that is truncated with a "read more" link beside it, you can't expand it. In other words the text is not saved. It also seems to be impossible to browse what you have saved.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).

Contacts Sidebar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Being able to forward contacts to other people is a must-have feature on its own. A very useful extension.

Select Address Book Text

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately I haven't found this very useful. While you can copy all the contact details in one go, they get pasted so jumbled up that they are almost unreadable. To be able to copy one field at a time isn't a great advantage over opening the properties and doing the same thing.

Rename Attachment

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Pretty damn simple, but, as the author indicates, extremely useful if you want to avoid sending out a file called "mcjob cv.doc"

Mailbox Alert

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does what it says it does. The current thunderbird alert system is useless for anyone who receives a lot of mail. This extension is an excellent replacement.

A feature I would like to see in the future would be the ability to get alerts on receipt of mails from a specified list of addresses, or to specify a list of addresses you don't want to trigger a notification.

Tab Shortcut

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Pity this doesn't work with Firefox 3. It provides a very simple feature of Opera that I have been desperately missing in Firefox.

I disagree with the reviewer who said this should use the mouse because most people have their hands on it. I avoid the mouse as much as possible because I find it uncomfortable and I find the trackpad a bit awkward to use.

To the developer: Please don't worry about adding lots of extra functions right now. Fix the bugs and port this to Firefox 3 and I guarantee that you will have at least one loyal user.
