When adding a note could you automatically TAG it as "xnote".
Then we can filter emails to JUST show xnoted emails.

Excuse me (and tell me!) is this is already an option!

This extensions appears to be able to do what I want however, as I use a dark theme (dark background and white text) and Xnote uses Yellow for its background the white text (presumably defaulted from my theme) is unreadable. Need an option to set a default text for this addon before I can use it as I don't want to change the dark theme. Another addition would be the ability to add XNote to the message viewer's toolbar so that a note can be added, etc. while the message is opened.

Has great utility. As for a wishlist, it would be great to have an icon on the side for messages that had notes attached. Also perhaps color coding them (but not so super bright as the original XNote program which was glaring).

Great Extension!
But I'm missing the option to synchronize my notes via IMAP

I really like the idea behind this add-on, but it lacks a proper user interface. Currently, it's definitely too complicated to add notes.

What I suggest is the following:
- A new note is created, when I click in the XNote-area in the e-mail-list.
- When I move the mouse over it, the XNote-icon should be visible, possibly in a greyed-out way.
- The context menu item should be below the "open message in new window"-link, not above.
- Call the notes "Notes", not "XNotes". (For consistency and better integration.)

Except for these issues: Great add-on!

Gut und hilfreich und daher auch empfohlen. Unter OS X erscheint das Fenster leider nicht automatisch - sonst prima.

It's a great extension for keeping notes associated with specific messages -- especially the user interface is very convivial: post-it notes which can be placed anywhere on the screen (and which reappear anytime that same message is selected).
Only thing I'd like is that it would show somehow when a note has got the focus.

Not even minimally usable, hardly what I would call persistent. Create Note, then switch to a different mailbox and back again before you can see the edit window. Move away from the message in the mailibox, go through the same drill.

Mac OS 10.5.3 / TB 2.0.0.9
The note window does not appear when creating a new note/modifying it. Switching accounts in TB's left column makes it appear, although of course the note now visually appears as related to a wrong e-mail. Switching back to the original account destroys the note window. Basically there's a problem handling window creation (the window is not hidden, as the Dock or Witch don't see it).

This bug makes the extension useless on a Mac.

Great.. and it works fine with me.
But is there any chance to have the capability to stor e the notes in the IMAP folder instead of in the local.

Moreover, It is nice if we can search the notes from the search bar.
Sorry for being such demanding user ;-)

Great job

I've been waiting for this function all my life, but I was disappointed by XNote. I could never get it to work. Sticky notes didn't appear on my messages. Messages were tagged as having notes, but I couldn't get the notes to appear anywhere, and I couldn't access what I had typed later. The recent update didn't resolve this.

I have been using XNote for about a year now and absolutely love it, can not do without it. I too have found that existing notes prior to the updated version have been trashed. They have garbage at the top of the note and no way to close without changing email folders. Only the Delete X is visible. (I do like the additional column it adds to Thunderbird to denote what messages have XNotes attached!)\r\n\r\nMy French is horrible so I can not understand the author\'s web page noted for support. I hope these reviews are read by the author so the latest update can be repaired soon.\r\n\r\nUntil this is fixed, I have successfully reinstalled the prior version. Perhaps others should do this as a temporary fix.\r\n

Loved Xnote until now. Agree with Zucni - all existing notes corrupted by the latest update. What do I do now?

The update messed up all of my existing XNotes :(

Somebody reported about IMAP server support but it stores notes locally and I see no options to change this.

This is my first review ever on an extension. I just wanted to say that these sticky notes are excellent. It helps me to keep track of additional customers information in their emails for my business. Very good job on making this extension for Firefox.

Thank you.
Angie
