Is there a FF version cap on the export routine? I\'m using 2.0.0.11 and the export is only generating empty files (XML and CSV).

Many, many thanks! This saves me from taking screenshots of the password manager, and putting the images in a password protected folder. (Can you believe I used to do that? lol)

I just installed on 2 computers. Both running Vista Home Premium and FF 2.0.0.12. I exported the passwords on the old as xml to a thumb drive. Plugged it in to the new computer and imported. Tried 2 or 3 sites and they worked. Very easy.

I reformatted and saved my profile...when i tried to restore the sig txt was missing...over 100 passwords lost !!!!!
Just downloaded and tested this out...works fine....
EXCELLENT...pity i didn't find it before reformatting...new to Firefox so didn't know where to look.
It DOES have an option to save a file to text...just click on the saved XML doc and it opens ready for printing.

This extension works great, is drop dead easy to use, and saves me a great deal of time, since I sync my bookmarks over 3 machines.

Great software although last update says 2006. Exported over passwords off Windows XP computer onto Windows Vista to Firefox. It was a breeze! More than 200 passwords and no problems. Can't complain. It worked for me.

I guess because I use special characters in my passwords this didn't work. Exported fine..wihich is pretty usefull..but imported a bunch of garbage. Switched over to password maker and now I don't have to store passwords anymore. I'll give it a 3 out of 10 for the export capability.

this add-on, while highly useful, would be even more useful it it also had the option to export or copy as plain text into a word processor in the manner of Password Save which the author has, unfortunately, discontinued development of and references this add-on. That way it would be possible to easily print out a hard copy for use elsewhere or to store as yet another backup...it is a real pain getting lost passwords recovered for many vendors.
Thanks for a fine add-on!
