I'm with steven_lee. It not only compacted the Menu; it made the whole menu bar disappear & wouldn't let me add it back. Worthless.

The issue was with conflicting extensions. After I disabled them, Compact Menu 2 worked flawlessly.

Menubar is gone even if I select display menubar.
It is not the behavior what I expected when I click "Alt" key. It is better display menubar rather than display this compact menu.

This addon integrates so well in the firefox UI that I was tricked to think firefox 9 is finally putting that button there. What a foolish dream! How could I possibly imagined that Firefox devs have finally done some work in terms of menu usability?! Thank you Milly for correcting me!
Below is the original wrong review along with developers' response :)

After disabling all plugins and enabling just compact menu same issue. Tried reinstalling Sea monkey - no improvements. Feel free to contact me, I'm willing to help (test it) if I can. I use Sea monkey from the first day and before that Mozilla suite was my favorite browser. I had no problems in Sea monkey 2.0 and Compact menu. It collapsed all the menu items to a Sea monkey icon with drop down menu. Should it be that way in CM2?

This nice little add-on really saves valuable screen real estate. It should be standard in Thunderbird, just like it is in Firefox. Good work!

Better than Tiny Menu as it puts the compact menu in line with the tabs instead of taking up an entire bar.

Excellent tool! Thanks
I have been able to patch the install.rdf file of version 4.2.0 so hat it is accepted by Firefox 7.0.1 (and hopefully up to v.9)

As fans of this add-on we know that you are working hard to update for FF7. This has been an awesome tool and makes the toolbars less cluttered. What makes this above all others is the ability to customize the way we want it and we can move it to whatever location we want! Great job MillyC!

Absolutely thrilled with this add on! Worked perfectly in my previous versions of FF. Today I updated to FF 7 and now FF keeps telling me this add on is not available for FF 7. What are the plans for updating the add on OR where can I get a version that works with FF 7? Thanks Milly C!

4.3.0a1 still has issues with custom Icon on Seamonkey 2.3.2. Instead of default CM Icon now displays no Icon at all. Otherwise an great addon that I consider essential.

As Sadi mentioned in previous review, you must change the max version, HOWEVER the APP BUTTON apparently does not work, I cannot find a way to activate it. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future version. Till then you must customize the toolbar and add the compact MENU entry.

Damit fällt das häufige Menü einblenden/ausblenden endlich weg.

GREAT ADDON! Works flawlessly in FF4!
Compact Menu 2 replaced Tiny Menu (which is NOT FF4 supported) in my extensions list.
