At last I can manage the credentials of domain Product that I have to work on daily to test again and again. And for doing so I had to manually login after some time with different credentials and then back to the previous one and then had to login with 3rd User. With the Help of Save Password Editors now my life has become easy. If there are more than the rating points then I would have given the highest.
Thanks Alot

This is a very useful Add-on.
Especially when sites don't specifically support the saving of username and password data.
I am using Firefox 46.0 and all is working.

Really useful addon but not working since few days - in firefox 45.0
No entries are being showed in when we click SPE button.
Hoping for a update to work with new firefox versions...
Thanks.
I'm not having this problem. But others have had it in the past, and it is usually caused by corruption in the profile. There was also a bug in Fx 44 that caused it to erase all passwords in certain cases, but that should have been fixed long ago. In any case, to my knowledge this has never been caused by SPE before, so I suggest you look, and maybe ask, on Mozilla Support: https://support.mozilla.org
If you need to get in contact with me, please DO NOT use the review system like this, since we cannot have a proper conversation (this is the only way I can reply, and you might not even see it depending on your settings). Instead, use the email or support site link provided.

I just came across the recent bug at Bugzilla where I found out that they're going to be removing the 'Show Passwords' button (How dare we want to see all of our passwords at one time!!!) as yet another Mozilla UX boner. Well, I hope this doesn't cause too much hassle for SPE to continue providing that function (till the complete removal of XUL/XPCOM make every really useful extension a no-go).
Oh, and good job. :)

Thank you, Daniel Dawson!
I use this add-on daily. It has saved me numerous times. I appreciate the ability to manually edit / change info for a site as well as cloning the info for an existing site to modify for a similar site. I, too, would like the ability to export and import site password info for archiving and/or transferring between devices.

The software itself is excellent, but an import / export feature would be a nice add-on!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.9.6).It is. Literally: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/password-exporter/
Several people are requesting this. But the question is, what's wrong with that other add-on? Besides, it's not only SPE users who want the functionality. Anyone who saves their passwords in Firefox and Thunderbird might want to back up their passwords. If they don't want to install SPE, they can still install the lighter-weight Password Exporter (PE) and get that functionality.
I can think of two things that can be improved upon in regards to PE: (1) working on SeaMonkey and (2) supporting another format, like JSON (nice to have, but not required). Other than that, what is there?
I won't definitely not do it. If I do, though, I might implement it as a separate add-on. So that would be a replacement for Password Exporter.

Great addon. Thanks. Export to a text file or .csv file for archiving in a convenient form would be a good new feature. Thanks!

When ABP is active i couldn't edt PW's. If i deactivate it, it work. Do you have an idea what's going wrong?

This is not the place for support requests, as the site rules clearly state (it should also have told you that as you were typing your review). Please send your request to my email or the support site; both are linked from the add-on listing page. Then we'll be able to have a proper conversation.

the problem is this:
i have select "passwords always display" in the settings, but when i open SPE then i must always click twice on the Button "Show passwords" so that passwords are displayed.
This Problem exists since FireFox 44.0.

Thank you

This add-on is very helpful.
I suggest that the author make one small improvement - the icon should change it's color when I go to pages stored by FF. This will indicate that in these pages I can facilitate entering login-password by using 'Secure Login' add-on.

Next to the functionality of editing passwords, I like that there is a button for directly accesing the stored passwords

Thanks for this Addon. It fills the missing functionality I've had in Firefox for a long time.

Thanks for this great add-on, it has served well for many years already, and ive noticed that out of 6 addons i use now, only Password Editor requires Firefox to be restarted :/ Is it possible to make it NO RESTART please?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.9.4).I understand the problem. It's not so easy to do, though. SPE is dependent on doing things in a way that requires restarting to (un)install, enable, and disable. It can be adapted, but it's by no means a trivial change; it will probably require rewriting a lot of it from scratch. It won't be long, though, that I'll have to change it anyway, since Firefox is going to stop supporting traditional add-ons.

The functionallity that it adds to the built in password manager is needed. It's really great addon. Thanks a lot.

Excellent addon, but doesn't it overlap with Firefox v.42's new functionality?
LATER: @ Daniel: thanks for your detailed reply, much appreciated. So I can feel comfortable letting your addon run concurrently with FX42, which is what I wanted to know.
Only somewhat. For instance, 42 still doesn't allow you to save, edit, or delete your passwords straight from the page context menu (with SPE, right-click on a username or password field in a web form, and you get those options).
You have to make your passwords visible in order to edit them (with SPE, they can remain hidden from anyone looking over your shoulder).
Most importantly, you still can't input logins on your own, which means that if the Password Manager is unable to recognize a web form for whatever reason (say, it's built after page load by scripts), you're out of luck.
To be fair, the things that used to confound the Password Manager still confound SPE. I should look into what Mozilla has done to see if SPE can be improved too.

Great addon! Why doesn't Firefox come with this functionality? Glad someone else gets it.

Awsome and useful tool, very easy to use. Does the job perfectly (should be integrated in Firefox, like now Folder Pane and Lightning in Thunderbird ! ;)
Thanks, Daniel !

I had Remember Passwords extension that worked before I upgraded from FF31esr to FF38esr: https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/remember-passwords/
On 38 it caused passwords not filling in and made Saved Password Editor show blank list of passwords.
