Being able to modify stored password entries is a feature i missed for a while, specially for those sites Fx remembers the pwd at registration time but it doesn't for the username field cause of a weak form... thankfully i've found this extension. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Thank you for the latest update. Saved Password Editor now looks much nicer :)
I think you can remove "Close" button from the bottom of the window. This button available in the caption of this window.
Thanks.
If by the "Close" button. you mean in the Saved Passwords window, please understand that I didn't write that window. It's part of the Mozilla Toolkit that is available to every application that uses that toolkit. I don't want to modify it much more than necessary. Besides, if I were to remove that button, there might be unforeseen consequences for someone who relies on its presence (I'm thinking along the lines of accessibility or something).

Very good enhancement for Thunderbird password management. Actually this feature should be built-in into Thunderbird itself.

This add on allows me to save passwords to secure sites that are set up to not remember the log in info by design.
Just what I was looking for.

I stumbled on this add-on and thought I would install and give it a try. The next day one of the sites I use modified the log-in domain. With this add-on it only took me a few seconds to edit the stored PW information.Great add-on.

This solved my problem with forcing Firefox to remember passwords on certain sites where it wouldn't remember passwords, even when using a "remember passwords" Javascript bookmarklet. The clone feature allows me to copy a password database entry that is working on those sites, change the user name and/or password in the clone, and save it. On the next visit to the page the edited clone login information comes up automatically with its prototype, just as one would expect if Firefox's password management were working properly.
I also use SeaMonkey, which uses much Firefox code, but for some reason it isn't as balky at remembering passwords as Firefox. This is a very useful add-on, giving me equivalent functionality in both browsers.

Does just what it is intended for, and you can even review the fields on the websites which are populated. Good work! Thanks a lot!

Somehow I managed to review the companion Saved Password Tags but never this. It provides something - the ability to edit the Firefox password file - not available any other way.

Worked perfectly for me. Firefox would not remember a specific password and now, thanks to this addon, it has! Thank you.

This tool does not do quick login process. Inappropriate because there are too many operations. Need simpler operations.
Công cụ này không làm nhanh quá trình đăng nhập. Không phù hợp vì có quá nhiều thao tác. Cần những thao tác đơn giản hơn.
Please explain what you mean. What would you like to be able to do?
Keep in mind that this add-on is not a replacement for the password manager. Rather, it is a complement to it. It allows you to edit passwords, because the password manager lacks such capability by itself. It does not get directly involved in logging in.

I tried to contact you by the support mail, but it bounces back. How can I contact you please? I have a important question for you and I don't want to post it here.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.6.3.1-signed).That's troubling; I don't know what to say about that. Try sending to danielcdawson@gmail.com instead.

Looks like I don't get what this addon actually does.
The two websites which don't allow me to login without entering username/password still don't work. I can save a password, but it's no use because the fields stay empty.
The pages are:
https://homebanking.sskm.de/portal/
https://studium.as.uni-heidelberg.de/SignUp/med/Student/login.jsp
Unfortunately, SPE only helps if Mozilla's password manager can understand the login form in the first place. Both of those pages break its expectations (one regular text field followed immediately by one password field), so one must resort to stronger measures, such as bypassing the password manager entirely.
One add-on that will almost certainly work with both of these is iMacros for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/imacros-for-firefox/
Be sure to set a master password (it has its own in its add-on options) so you can have your passwords encrypted.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
