This is one of the most useful Firefox extensions and the first one I ever install in fresh Firefox installations.
No longer I have to worry about the separate HTML + Folder setup for saved pages, which is not only complicated but also unpleasant to see on any file manager.
With this add-on I just save webpages as MAFF and that's it. Simple and effective. All saved in a single file. It can even save HTML5 video and audio. If you ever need to access one single file from a saved webpage, you simply use your ZIP file manager to open the MAFF file and browse its contents.
Definitely a must have Firefox extension.

When saving in MAFF format using "Preserve scripts and source..." or "Take a faithful snapshot..." images are not being saved. Only when "Use browser's standard save system" is chosen the images save inside the index_files directory in the MAFF archive.

Cool extension. Just a couple of suggestions:
A quick save button that would automatically save to a predetermined folder.
Sometimes when coverting saved pages, one file will not convert and it holds up the entire conversion process. Please include a feature that will cancel a file that won't convert so that the rest of the process can continue along. Thanks once again for a great add on!
Thanks for your suggestions, a future version of the add-on will implement a way to prevent the conversion process from blocking.

I find this addon very interesting. After some use I found the following problems :
- Severe interference with 'FloatNotes' addon ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/floatnotes/?src=ss ) ... which is another very interesting addon I already use.
- Before installing MAF ... when I read in the spanish main page “Guarda EXACTAMENTE lo que ve” which translated to english comes to “it saves EXACTLY what you see” ... I got extremelly excited. I like customizing Firefox very much (the default zoom size and the default font size) ... on the other hand I am a heavy user of Adblock Plus , Element Hiding Helper for ABP ... and Ghostery. When I made various tests and found the saved pages with different zoom and font sizes ... and some gifs, frames and BANNERS around ... I couldn't avoid feeling disappointed.
- The yellow strip at the top when recovering a saved page is annoying.
- Sometimes the options 'Save as...' , 'Save page in archive as...' , 'Save tabs in archive as...' and 'Save all tabs in archive as...' from the submenu 'Mozilla Archive Format' at Tools menu ... ... sometimes these options DISAPPEAR from the menu ... not greyed but disappear !!!
All in all ... I repeat, I find the addon very interesting ... but I can't afford it by now. I would love to use it in the future.
Ps.- I have tested MAF 2.0.6 in Firefox 12.0 over Kubuntu Oneiric amd64.

Before, I used to save webpages by saving them as "Web page complete". It was fine, but it generated an HTML file and a folder. So for each save, you had to manage 2 things: a file and a folder. That wasn't very efficient
So next, I tried to save the pages by printing them as PDF files. Unfortunately, it was an UGLY solution. Content inside the PDF looked messy!
Then, I found out about this add-on, and can't turn back. It saves each page in the lay-out I expect it to be (with images!), and in 1 single file. Just perfect for my needs!

L.O.V.E. Mozilla Archive Format
This Addon is a MUST have for all especially
those who download/archive websites to take home to read if they don't have internet
and/or those like myself I have been doing Natural Healing & Health, Conspiracy, NewAge research since at-least 2003-2004 or so... I use to have such a *mess* of HTML files and their content, and many saved in mht format because Internet Explorer was all my Public Library would allow.. they NEVER allowed Firefox ;_; made me cry ;_;
lol anyhow getting back on topic
I went for sooo long without any way of viewing mht files in Firefox till one day last year I decided to find out if there was an Addon low and behold
an addon called M.A.F. EXISTED ^_^ ^_^
I have since upgraded all of my old archives of HTML-files&folders to M.A.F.F. files sweet and the built in zip like compression means they take up even less space now and the compatibility is better then mht (ie the content especially the older files saved/converted correctly)
My ETERNAL Thanks to the M.A.F. group this addon was/is a life savor ^_^

MHT & Faitfhul Save does have one problem regarding character substitution in the save-as file title, but that failing aside, it's a truly MUST HAVE for NE1 who saves webpages - which is most of us, and i.m.h.o.'it' should be built in to the basic Firefox program.
MHT&FS v2.0.5 and earlier versions DON'T appear to follow Intrnt.Explr convention regarding CHANGing DOTS - and perhaps some other special characters, in a file title TO an UNDERSCORE "_".
For example: if a web-pages title is "Blah blah version 3.0.1 blah.mht", then I.E. will save as "Blah blah version 3_0_1 blah.mht" MHT&FS may save as "Blah blah version 3_0.1 blah.mhtml" or, it MAY not change the dot characters at all.
4_5 out of 5 Stars from me. Currently using Vista Sp2 & Firefox 3.6.28

Works perfectly. I've been using it since many years and never had a problem with it, nor opening saved maff files. It even enters the correct page title for you... One of the best Firefox add-ons out there. A must.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.4.1-signed). This user has a previous review of this add-on.This is probably fixed in version 2.0.5, that will soon be available as an automatic update.

There's a problem with MHT format: the add-on doesn't show the original URI where the page was saved, It shows www.index.com
Hay un problema con el formato MHT: El complemento no muestra la URI original de donde la página fue guarda, muestra www.index.com
I've sporadically noticed this behavior, though this works in the majority of cases. You're welcome on the Mozilla Archive Format mailing list or newsgroup (http://maf.mozdev.org/feedback.html) if you want to share the details of the issue you observed, so that the problem can be solved for other users of the add-on.
