Great addon, thanks. Useful for those particularly clever developers trying to combat Adblocking. ;P

One of the most useful/user friendly addons ever. Taking Ad Block Plus already one of the best extensions ever, to another level.

Element Hiding Helper is a true scalpel that provides an easy way to cut out any tricky ad or some unnecessary web-page element.
Web-sites are just overloaded with ads and all that social stuff: tweet me! digg me! like me! drink me!.. Dammit! I do value my privacy and, what's even more important, my inner peace... and that's why Element Hide Helper is an extension I cannot imagine Firefox without.
It's great to have such a handy tool making it possible to hide any unwanted content. Now that's me who decide what to see and what not to — and this rocks!
By the way, guys, there are some hidden options you may like. Go to about:config and search for extensions.elemhidehelper.selectelement_key — voila, you can set up the hotkeys (if there are several keys combinations, the working one will be the first hotkey that is not used by Firefox or any other add-on). Another useful setting is extensions.elemhidehelper.showhelp — switch it to «false» to prevent keyboard shortcuts help from showing up each time you hide something.

This is a must-have addon if you have AdBlock installed.
Their combination is simply brilliant. It helps me a lot, because I can quickly make a new rule every time I find any unhidden ad. Subsequently I can report it to the filter list administrator.
When you use the developer tools included in Firefox to explore the website (Ctrl+Shift+I), the usage is very intuitive.

Helps to block a few pesky things such as flashing images etc. that adblock can't deal with. Thanks.

Das hat mir gerade noch gefehlt! Jetzt ist es wirklich ein Leichtes, unerwünschte Seiteninhalte zu eliminieren. Funktioniert bis jetzt tadellos.

Now Internet looks like I want. Great extension for extension :) Only one thing is little annoying for me - list of keyboard shortcuts automatically shows up every time when I want block something. You should add on/off option for that.
Thank you very much Wladimir. Dzięki Władeczku,

This makes it very easy to make custom Adblock Plus element hiding rules. Whenever you see something you don't want on a website, you can usually just quickly create a filter using this and not have to see it again.

Super! But after rebooting FF 10.0.2 losing " Select an element to hide" menu.
Reloading apps helps but for only current session.

The default filter list provided by AdBlock Plus can not cover every ad there is, so it's very important that user can add their own filter rule. ABP allows this by letting user define URL pattern for the elements they want to block, but this is inefficient at best, and particularly difficult for most web users. That's where Element Hiding Helper comes in handy. It helps user define filter rules quickly, accurately in a visualized, interactive way.
I recommend this extension for everyone who already uses AdBlock Plus. ABP can not be perfect without this little extension. It should even be built in ABP as a core function.

(firefox 10.0.2 adblock plus 2.0.3)
Тестовая сборка должна работать нормально: https://adblockplus.org/ru/development-builds. Выпустить Element Hiding Helper 1.2.2 на данный момент сложно из-за проблем с addons.mozilla.org.

Ever since the add-on doesn't need a restart after installing it, it does indeed disappear from the ABP menu after a while. Un- and re-installing the Element Hiding Helper helps, but this isn't convenient.
