Nice, but how i can remove button from addon bar? Firefox 23.0.1 - i simple can place tollbar button on the addon bar in ANY place as i want. Now i have don't moveable/removeable button after installing addon.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.1-signed.1-signed).This is a firefox feature, if you don't want the button on there you need to go to the view menu, toolbars and then customise, this has nothing to do with the add-on!

Simple and pratique, it's great

With the recent Firefox versions, the Toggle Proxy button is rendered on the Add-on bar, which is better kept hidden to avoid wasting precious screen realestate. This makes using this add-on an inconvenience. A drop-down menu that could be added to Firefox would be a much better option. It would also be nice if it was possible to set proxy setting per tab, but I admit this is asking too much.It would also be nice if
Edit: I've just noticed that there is also an option to customize the UI and add the Toggle Proxy button anywhere on Firefox. A drop-down list would be nice, but this also fixes the usability problem.
Kudos for making such an useful add-on.
Thanks for the review, and for the updated rating. I added the capability to add to the add-on bar after requests via reviews and emails. It can be put on the bar at the bottom of Firefox but some users didn't like this which is why the add-on bar was added. I'm afraid per tab isn't something I can do as the add-on is, drop-down list is something I considered but didn't have the time and as the main customer has now left home I don't get round to modifying it much. I will look at it but it'll be some time in the future.

Very nice and simple addon, but, please — add button in ToolBar.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1-signed.1-signed).Toolbar option finally developed, currently being validated and will be available in version 1.7 for Firefox in the next few days.

A nice and minimal Add-on for people who often have to change their proxy settings.
But i have 2 things which could be improved:
1.The Icon should be placed near the adressbar.
2.It would be cool if you could quick edit the proxy settings on middle click.
Toolbar option will be available shortly in version 1.7 for Firefox. You can edit the proxy settings by right-clicking the icon.

Except the silly location of the icon. Why in the status bar only? I don't want it there! Please make a standard icon for the main bar.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1-signed.1-signed).After contributions from some users I decided to create a toolbar option for Firefox, this will be available shortly in version 1.7 of the add-on.

Very useful, simple and intutive.
Earlier I had to make way through FF preferences every time to change the proxy settings.
Now, it is just one click away.

I think this is a textbook example of how an extension can be built. It's fast, simple and for anyone using FF on his home and office network an absolute must. Just one click and you're ready.

Exactly what I need.
Easily switch between two Proxy Configs with one (1!) click (for me at work: ON / OFF)
tested with FF11

I don't want to enable the addon bar just for this addon. Please allow moving the button to other toolbars.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.1-signed.1-signed).Toolbar button added in version 1.7 for Firefox to be released shortly.

Current version is not working for me on firefox 7.0.1 on ubuntu linux.
Configuration doesn't seem to work - won't allow automatic proxy configuration to be chosen as one of the options.
I'm sorry about this, but don't currently have ubuntu on my machine so can't check. Works with Windows and Mac up to version 10, I'll see what I can do.

Where is the button?? does it work on firefix 7? look fully installed but there's no change...
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.1-signed.1-signed).Bibadom - the button to toggle the different proxy settings is in the Add-on bar at the bottom of Firefox (4,5,6,7), if it's not visible go to the view, toolbars, add-on bar menu

I need to be able to toggle my work proxy on my laptop fairly often. This does exactly what it says. I will try the alt-x shortuct, because this is the only thing left on my status bar, if that works then I will have no status bar at all anymore.

doesn't change status of proxy in other windows if opened more than one window
will be great to add button in toolbar and let to disable ico in status bar, like AdBlock way (I prefer more button)
I hope to see these fixes in new version

Absolutely the best addon if you only use one proxy in one location and no proxy in another.

Very simple add-on (too simple, perhaps?) - It'd be nice to have the option to configurate each proxy in the Toggle Proxy menu. I personally prefer AutoProxy so I can choose what proxy to connect to from a submenu list.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1-signed.1-signed).Lomedin, thank you for your review. The addon is simple for a reason, I created it for my customer to the specifications she wanted and it's not meant to be something that can do everything - there's plenty of addon's as you know that can do that.

Works perfectly in 4.01. I don't need tons of configurability and dealing with a bunch of proxies. I just need to switch between no-proxy and manual-proxy for work. Easy to set up and use. Thanks for creating this.

The shortcut-key in the new version 1.3 doesnt work for me, but the one in v.1.2 does. alt+t works on my pc running win 7 64bit.So if you have problems with the shortcut-key, get back to 1.2!
this addon needs a toolbar-icon though.
Hi
Thank you for the review, I'm sorry that alt-x doesn't work for you, I am hoping to make the key configurable but I'm having problems finding the time and how to do it! I have an icon in the add-on bar which means you can change with one click on the icon, I never created one for the top, I'll have a look when I get the time.
