One of the best underrated add-ons ever. Guys, this is gold!!!

I love this add-on soooo much, thank-you dev. It's great for general web surfing and very useful and is a must for when shopping online .
Another great feature is it's so easy to turn on and off so the zoomed pictures never get in your way when your reading or just browsing .
This add-on is simple and that's whats great about it .
I find the simple add-ons are always the best and add great functionality to Firefox, these sort of simple but great add-ons help make FireFox my #1 browser choice.

I just can't use browsers anymore without this functionality. Makes life so much easier. Thanks for your effort

Thanks for forking the original.
This addon is absolutely essential to surfing the net.
All browsers should come with this feature and pay this dev to develop it :)

- Add option (check box) to show/hide context menu item ...

Thank you ...

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.1-signed).

I do plan to add an option for that; you can track the issue here:
https://github.com/dadler/thumbnail-zoom/issues/90

In the meantime, a workaround is to install the Firefox add-on "Menu Editor", which lets you hide that menu item.

hi, is there any way to remove that annoying filename area?

http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae317/abbigss/Untitled-1-1.jpg

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1-signed).

That filename is the site's tooltip.

You can hide that by turning on Thumbnail Zoom Plus' "Show Caption" option in its Preferences window. Also make sure "Delay before showing image (sec.)" is less than 0.5.

works great on many sites. I like it!

Not only does the add-on work with the sites the developer listed, but by checkmarking the "Thumbnails" field in the setup options, it will enlarge images on news media sites such as BBCNews which aren't even thumbnails to begin with. It even adds the image description to the enlarged version even if that's not actually visible in the original. In fact, I've yet to find a site where it doesn't work.

This is truly an excellent add-on which is well worth adding to your repertoire.

It works great most of the time, and does exactly what it says it does.

There are two things you could improve.

It would be great with manual website filtering (although it seems you're adding that, so that's a big plus), and there's also a strange bug where the addon just stops working after some time, and only a browser restart makes it work again. (Currently on FF beta 15.0)
I'm not sure what the cause of it is as I can't seem to notice anything unusual (or something I rarely do) when it stops working.

Edit:
Thanks for the reply!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1-signed).

The problem with ff 15.0 is fixed in TZP 2.2beta1. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/thumbnail-zoom-plus/versions/

I plan to support manual website filtering in a future release.

Brilliant add-on, very useful for image-heavy sites such as Reddit or Facebook. However, I would prefer it if you could extend the site options to include all compatible sites instead of the "Others" option (or at least allow users to manually blacklist websites).

Furthermore, I would prefer it if there was an option to remove the context menu entry "Save enlarged...". I have tried add-ons that allow you to edit Firefox's context menus to no avail - your option does not seem to be identified within the add-on "Menu Editor".

If it were not for those two inconveniences, this add-on would receive 5/5. However, 4/5 is what I shall award it. You have done a great job with this and I appreciate the fact that you are taking the time to address every review and actually considering everyone's feedback.

EDIT: Thank you for the reply! I appreciate the fact that you are looking to enable a black list. And I would be ever so grateful if you did decide to add an option to remove the context menu entry - but there's no obligation on your part. :-)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1-signed).

I'm planning on a user-editable black-list in the future.

Starting with Thumbnail Zoom Plus 2.0 the "Save enlarged..." menu item can be hidden using the Menu Editor add-on. Please try it with the latest version of TZP and see if it works for you.

Excellent add-on. Would give it 5 stars except for the following bug:

Must remove or replace the "?" in the automatically generated file name with something else as Windows doesn't recognize the "?" as part of a valid file name. I replaced the "?" with a "+" and it saved just fine. Or, you can give it a new and proper file name.

Example:
"70663.png?modified=1339889479..png" was successfully saved as "70663.png+modified=1339889479..png"

NOTE: Just installed version 2.1 and it does the same thing.
Also, it seems the double period (..) is still there as seen in my example above, although it doesn't seem to present any problems with Windows.

Hello, this is fixed in version 2.2beta1. It now uses a default filename based on the caption text rather than the image's web address, and it removes any illegal characters from it. If it works for you, I hope you'll update your review. Thanks.

Hello. Great addon, but after the update it only shows a picture Once(any picture you hover above). Just only Once.
After you move the cursor away the addon shows the yellow exclamation mark when you hover above the same picture again.

(The reviewer emailed me that the problem started after changing network settings, and Thumbnail Zoom Plus is working again.)
