Not compatible with Palemoon v25. Does not show up on statusbar nor can be customized.

2 - Instalar Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks https://addons.mozilla.org/es/firefox/addon/checkcompatibility/ (Permite instalar complementos desactualizados).

3 - Instalar Forecastfox Weather.

Listo, ¡a disfrutar!

Not yet available for Firefox 32 ! :(

I have used this addon with great satisfaction for many years ... it stopped working after FF 29, and the original author seems no longer available, so I had to settle for a less interesting replacement for a while.

Today I'm glad to report that - FINALLY ! - I got the latest official AMO version (2.2.2) working perfectly under FF 31.0.

I've followed the instructions given at the Forecast support forum, more specifically at this link: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/forecastfox-users/S3-Tm50frb4

Cheers !

THANK GOD YOU FIXED IT!!

I love Forecast Fox, I also love Firefox, but I am to the point where using Firefox without Forecastfox is something I can no longer tolerate. Firefox seems to update almost on a bi-weekly basis anymore, rendering the addons obsolete just about every time. I've decided to just stick with Firefox v.28 until they allow fixes that do not render my addons outdated. It comes down to this, if there is one add-on I refuse to do without, it is this one. And as long as Firefox keeps updating their browser without making sure this addon is functional with it, I will no longer allow updates to Firefox, or I will very reluctantly go to Google Chrome.

Works great. It would receive the 5th star if this add-on updated itself more frequently.

Modification verified on Firefox 33 beta 1

Waiting to receive an official upgrade to version 33 beta of Firefox, you can work around the problem by FF believe that this is a new version.
1) Download the archive forecastfox_weather-2.2.2-sm + fx.xpi and rename forecastfox_weather-2.2.2.1-sm + fx.xpi.zip; (note version number (2.2.2.1) and extension (.zip));
2) Extract and edit the install.rdf file with a text editor (Notepad or Notepad ++ are fine, do not use instead of word processors such as MS Word);
3) Edit the entry
<em:id> {0538E3E3-7E9B-4d49-8831-A227C80A7AD3} </em:id>
<em:version> 2.2.2 </em:version>
<em:unpack> true </em:unpack>
with
<em:id> {0538E3E3-7E9B-4d49-8831-A227C80A7AD3} </em:id>
<em:version> 2.2.2.1 </em:version>
<em: unpack> true </em:unpack>
4) Change the entry
<Description>
<em:id> {ec8030f7-C20A-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384} </em:id>
<em:minVersion> 3.0 </em:minVersion>
<em:maxVersion> 32.0 </em:maxVersion>
</Description>
with
<Description>
<em:id> {ec8030f7-C20A-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384} </em:id>
<em:minVersion> 3.0 </em:minVersion>
<em:maxVersion> 33. * </em:maxVersion>
</Description>
5) Save the file and update the install.rdf file forecastfox_weather-2.2.2.1-sm + fx.xpi.zip, renaming it by removing the extension zip;
6) Open the "Manage Add-ons" in Firefox (about:addons) and do the "drag and drop" the just changed archive on this window;
7) Install the extension changed, which will have the version number 2.2.2.1 installed on all versions of Firefox up to 33.

Warning! This procedure bypasses the controls of Firefox, so if a future version of Firefox (> 33 beta 1) does not support more 'the extension, it may cause instability problems in the browser.

Greatest, most awesome weather extension I've ever used for years, and I've tried a bunch. Need to check the radar? Then just hover over the icon, no clicking even involved, AND it's animated! What more could a person ask for?

Having trouble installing because it's not compatible???? I got you covered.... https://groups.google.com/d/msg/forecastfox-users/tCXD3o1O7XM/fyloiqi3RN4J

Extremely disappointed that Forecastfox has not kept up with the last few Firefox updates. Was the best add-on ever. Appreciated how customizable it was. With each update, I keep hoping it will magically be compatible again. Misplaced faith? BRING IT BACK!

FF 32 with no ForecasterFox is not good

Add-on is broken. Link posted by nfreed below "can not be verified" as secure and a warning page flags it. Looks like another great add-on abandoned. Sad. Why do the good add-ons get abandoned? This was originally created by a great Swedish college student whom graduated and passed the torch on to a developer group. Whomever's behind this one now has seemingly simply abandoned it. If not I apologize, but it would be nice to know the status of things either way. Thanks...

Forecastfox was one of the best plug-ins I've had. I loved being able to see the forecast (day, night, or day and night) for the entire week at a glance, and I could tuck it neatly at either end of the status bar at the bottom of my browser (or anywhere else I wanted, for that matter).

It's a terrible shame that Forecastfox hasn't been updated in two years and is incompatible for Firefox versions above 28.0. No other weather plugin else even comes close.

To the developer: So many of us love this plugin; please update soon!

UPDATE: The compatibility problem has been solved!

You can now install version 2.2.4 (compatible with Firefox 29 thru 31) from this link:
https://static.getforecastfox.com/downloads/forecastfox-latest.xpi

Unless you've moved it from the add-on bar, it won't appear unless you also install this addon:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/the-addon-bar

Thanks to users BobK54 and TNTux at http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php?topic=126024.0 for this fix!
