I really like QuickNote, many of users stated the same. What I mist mostly is the ability to have more than 6 notes, if you can, please consider it for the next versions

Лучше чем этот блокнот, я еще не нашел в firefox. Если найдете - напишите мне!

I was searching for a note-taking extension that supports txt files for a long time! One would think that this is basic but NO! I could do it in sqlite, in email, in cloud, in everything BUT a simple txt!
Wish it could also support other alphabets, but we can't have it all!

great, but, as others have said, please make it work with relative path, so it can be used in different computers with firefox/thunderbird portable. Thank you.

This is a very useful add-on but i have a small issue.
I'm using firefox portable with quicknote installed, i copied the TXT files (related to quicknote) in firefox directory.
when i copy firefox portable directory in another computer (including quicknote TXTfiles inside) i have to setup again the path of the every TXT files in quicknote setting (because ,obviously, the path of the firefox directory and the TXTfiles is different from before)
Is there a way to avoid setting up the path every times i copy firefox directory in another computer?
It is not possible, because each new Firefox profile has a new, randomly assigns name.

Я поставил расширение QuickNote, мне оно понравилось.
Но как настроить его так, чтобы можно было незаметно добавлять в
блокнот заметки без всплывающих боковых вкладок и окон.

This sidebar notepad addon is fantastic. The only major, highly needed feature I feel it's missing is the ability to recognize text URLs as clickable links. If for whatever technical reason it can't be done, at the very least, please consider adding some kind of an "Open Selected in New Tab" right click option for selected link text. I need to copy a dozen of URLs as a note (Copy URLs Expert is another useful addon for doing just that) and later to be able to quickly open each of them when needed.
Other than that, a very practical addon. A must-have for me.

Очень удобная программа1 Пользуюсь каждый день и доволен :) одно пожелание- если можно сделать в настройках программы возможность сохранять/загружать настройки, как это реализовано в "Менеджере загрузок S3 v3.10"

Actually it depends on the person's preferences. I like to have float notes which I can move, emphasize different fragments and make them look different. These notes are very static - which is kinda positive thing because you see them all the time and there is no possibility something remain hidden and forgotten. However I prefer different kind of notes but I appreciate the idea of that extension that is why I give 4/5.

60 % of my note come from internet, so this addon is a "Must Have" tool

There are different kind of extensions similar to this one. I like it because you set notes and they are permanent not specific for a domain or something else. Actually we want to have something written and no more worry about it because we see it all the time it exists, there's no chance to be missed.

It's very useful. I like the idea that you can import content from your file prepared before.

How can I hide a picture in sidebar? In OmniSidebar displays icon only your add-on...
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.5.1-signed.1-let-fixed.1-signed).Thanks for your review. Simply in the QuickNote options uncheck "Show QuickNote button in the notes bar".

A comparison:
Quicknote: select text; rightclick; add note
QuickFox: select; rightclick; select notebook; add note
Quicknote has a side pane which is convenient for side by side editing.
QuickFox has the ability to add more notes and sync with web storage.
I think to manage lots of note, zim wiki or emacs org mode are better, you can include graphics and tags, so note add-on in firefox is just a temperary storage, the quicker the better.
Suggestion: middle click on selected text to add note
Thank you for this tool.

Thanks to Larashots's elegant wording in pointing out my mistake in a previous comment regarding the availability of including the source url.
I had relied on a wrong understanding of Nemo's post when he stated "Like adding source url, an option to add the date and time at the end of copied text would be nice." assuming source url was not an option, together with this option not clearly mentioned in the developer's presentation of his add-on. I have to improve my English!
As an off-topic remark : I notice a world-wide trend concerning all domains to inform the reader, the user of the content of a product, of an extension, of a script... as if, maybe, doing so could appear as a begging towards the user, could be interpreted as a will to "sell" oneself (even one's free application!). I see this everywhere, when you are condemned to try in order to know what could be simply included in a basic resume. Maybe also are we so fed up of excessive and obtrusive caressing of advertizement that we fear providing information be considered as a form of... advertizement : when ads inform and inform only, respectfully, then there is no problem.
Express yourself! if this wording is not too much of an order :) when only a wish.
Anyway, QuickNote runs fine. Perhaps a search option within the notes could be a plus, even if reading a note with a text editor allows that search. That's all, promised :)

Just a head's up for the user named FoxTail: QuickNote has an option to "add the copied text's source"— http://i.imgur.com/Hh8iHv2.png
As for adding the date, for Windows users, pressing F5 adds the full date & time, (just as it does in Notepad). Since Quicknote opens after text is sent, it's really a non-issue to hit one button. :)
