Have now got extension working, although it hasn't changed how it looks for the worse (in separate window). Possible clash with other extension which auto-updated at same time, McAfee SiteAdvisor, but have been able to get the two to play nicely now.

I've been using this for ages and really like it but things haven't worked since upgrading to FF4. I've upgraded to 1.99.3 still no joy. I appreciate this isn't the place for a bug report but I can't find where to so here are some details.I'm getting the following error when I try and open a folder:Error message= uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x8052000b (NS_ERROR_FILE_CORRUPTED) [mozIStorageStatement.executeStep]" nsresult: "0x8052000b (NS_ERROR_FILE_CORRUPTED)" location: "JS frame :: resource://gre/components/nsFormHistory.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 471" data: no]
Edit: Clearing my form history etc sorted this out - should have been my first port of call before reporting the error... Thanks Mime, I can now get back to work.

I simply LOVE this addon. To me it's better than FileZilla in many ways. Plus it's integraed to the browser so I don't have to open another program.
But a simple question: I would like to pin FireFTP as an App-Tab. Trouble is the favicon disappears when the browser starts next time. Is there any solution how to solve this? 'Cause this annoying blank file icon looks bad to me. Thanks so far ;)

Since upgrading to FF4, I have been unable to use Fire FTP. It disconnects whenever I try to access the htdocs folder.
Very disappointing because I used it all the time previously, and now have to use an external FTP client.
Try the latest version, 1.99.3 it might solve your issue:

I was facing problem with firefix 4 and fireftp.
Like was not able to see root directory, connect button, or I was not able to see old accounts or add new accounts
After positing this review developer replied it within few hours that there is conflict with FASTESTFOX and FIREFTP , so i disabled FASTESTFOX and Now FIREFTP is running smoothly as before
Developed has mentioned that this conflict is from FASTESTFOX side and it will be resolved soon.... Hope So, because for me both are important.

For me it does not work. I can access most FTP server, but I have one, really important, where FireFTP fails.
User name contains "@" character and I cannot change it. Maybe that's the reason. Maybe it's because I use Win 7 64bit... I don't know. Anyway, it does not work for me. I can't connect to this server at all.

Cannot find where to report bugs.
I love FireFTP but since installing Firefox 4 it does not show remote directory detail.
How do I fix this?

Hey, it's working brilliant (also with FF4). It's one of my favourite AddOns. Easy to use (good overview) and installed quickly (i've to install it every day) - simply great. Hope, it'll be available for mobile devices some time, too. And hope, people will not give too bad ratings merely due to some ff4 beginning probs^^

The english Version works fine with Firefox 4.0
But with the german Version 1.99.2 I only get an error message. Is there a bug in german translation?

Firefox 4.0 can not show BIG5

But the 3.6 is no problem
You might have to change the encoding you are working with to download the file. Go to Account Manager->Advanced->Server Encoding and perhaps try West European->Western (ISO-8859-1) or whatever region the server might be located in (e.g. Chinese servers tend to use East Asian->Chinese Simplified (GB18030))

Loved it for years - now it won't work. Logs in but remote desktop remains blank. Please fix and don't tell me where to report bugs!
My Response. I will not create new accounts to tell you what I stated above - especially since it says it gives out my email publicly. Ask any question here and I will respond.
I can't help you fix issues unfortunately without your assistance. You may file a bug here: https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=fireftp

New bug: I really love FireFTP but since I switched to FF4 I get the "Failed to save [filename] locally." error on Win7. Save path and config were not changed and target drive has plenty of free space. Will still give 5 stars as I know you will fix this immediately.

This wonderfully useful addon has been my constant companion since forever. Kudos to the author.Since FF4 and 1.99.2 something seems to have changed. The initial load of a new directory seems to be drastically slower..Perhaps this is due to the logging of the output from an underlying 'ls' command, which I see appearing in the log window. When directories are lengthy (hundreds to thousands of entries) this seems to have slowed FireFTP to make it dampSquibFTP ... and that's such a shame.I couldn't really describe this as a bug... but it's sure biting me and I'd love it to go away and be the way it was. Otherwise this is a highly-prized addition to my everyday work. Thanks Mime.
_____ Update: Sure: Bug #23826
Hm, can you file a bug report here? https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=fireftp
I'll try to see what might be done to improve this.

Got it.
Tracked it down to FastestFox add-on.
Uninstalled it and FireFTP works just fine.
I'm currently talking with the author of FasterFox to find a solution - seems to be a problem on their end...
