Waiting for xpunge to be updated to work with TB3 is the only thing keeping me from upgrading to TB3. I've been using xpunge on TB since I started using TB for my mail client. It is the most practical (and should be included in TB) tool available.

More encouragement here to *please update* for Tbird3... I loved MultiXpunge in Tbird2. Perfect performance without a hint of a glitch.

I would like to ask for an update too for Thunderbird 3. It is a very nice extension. Thanks.

I receive (and delete) 200-300 emails a day. The ability to have automated/timed compaction of specified folders via xpunge is for me a near-essential extension. It does exactly what I want, when I want it to. While TB 3 has made compaction easier than in TB 2 - its still requires a manual action to handle it. Here's my support for extension of xpunge to TB 3.xx.

It's a very useful add-on.
I Hope that I will see a new release supporting Thunderbird 3 as soon as possible.

Ought to be included with Thunderbird itself.
This is one of those simple, effective, and must-have add-ons, especially for those of us using IMAP. Only nit: The word "MultiXpunge" is too darned long on the button. :)

I support this Add-ons on on my theme.
I expect the version that supported TB3b3 early.
Thanking you in advance.

Compactage de mes boîtes imap, vidange des poubelles (locaux et rss) en un seul clic. En un mot : génial !

Does what it claims, but also resorts your mail messages. I sort the messages in my inbox so the most recent message is at the top of the list (So I always see the most recent at the top). IF xpunge is run this sorting is reversed and messages are ordered with the most recent at the bottom. Not sure what this is happening but I can not see any controls to influence this behavior. This is especially problematic if xpunge auto runs and suddenly your message need to be manually resorted.

It doesn't obviously like IMAP subfolders... I lost 2 / 3 after MultiXpunging...

Nice extension overall. Gives more popups than I would like. It would be nice if the popups were configurable as to whether or not you wanted them. \r\n\r\nIf you leave a folder having the focus Xpunge fails and gives a popup reporting \"Cannot compact, folder is in use.\" \r\n\r\nIt would also be nice if it could check to see if mail is downloading and wait before processing. I\'m always getting popups \"Cannot compress, folder is being processed.\" I believe many of these popups could be prevented by first checking to see if the folder needed compressing.\r\n\r\n
