With lot's and lot's of projects at once this add-on is a musthave for everyone. I put the current project folders that I work on, on top to easily manage every e-mail coming in and out. This add-on should be a default install on every Thunderbird version.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.5).also install the new companion extension, quickFilters, for even more added email sorting powers!

I have a lot of correspondents so the default tree of folders is extensive. QuickFolders makes it easy--and fast--to get to the folders of those I most frequently correspond with. Thunderbird's "filters" put incoming messages directly into appropriate folders. QuickFolders lets me know what messages I have not yet read as well as to remind me to check the status of ongoing conversations. Being able to drag and drop directly into a folder is great. Making the folder tabs more attractive is icing on the cake... and functional, too. Overall, a really welcome timesaver. Thank you, Axel.

Great tool! But I find ANY toolbar should ALWAYS have a toggle hotkey and a toggle button that can make the toolbar quickly appear and disappear. Shouldn't be too difficult to implement. Clicking one's way through "View > Toolbars" is just too awkward. At least, under "View", a toolbar should always have one of those underlined letters (in that case one could create a hotkey with some macro program). ;-)

Excellent for Seamonkey. I was looking for something that would improve the e-mail interaction in Seamonkey for some time. This addon really made a difference.

My rescue in this ocean of emails. Simply excellent, must-have. Now includes automatic filter creation - programmed instantly after suggestion. Second donation within 4 weeks - in any instance deserved: I spare at least 1 hour per day. Thank you very much.

Tremendously fluid and useful add-on. Fully customizable, elegant, and robust. Use everyday for over 2 years, no performance issues. Also, product support is top-notch. Axel responds to emails timely, and is great at giving easy to follow instructions. Please consider a donation! This guy is working hard!

Transvaluable? What I'm trying to say is, this is a great add-on. Indispensable, even.

Thank you for the great add-on.
When I click on the search folder, the first mail will be selected other than the whole folder like the inbox&sent.
Why is there the difference? From TB?
.. and questions like this, you can also contact me directly from the extension (options screen, last tab). To be honest, I would think this is indeed Thunderbird's behavior, but I bet it can be configured in some way (advanced settings).

Very good addon with very dedicate developer(s). I had the display issue with TB 10 (as described in https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=24643) and found that it was corrected in less than a day. Good job

I don't know what I would do without this add-on. I have 7 work email accounts to monitor which all come into one inbox. This add-on allows me to keep organized and find what I need quickly. It is fast, easy, and my main folder system for my inbox. A simple drag and drop and color coding saves me so much time!
Thank you so much!!!

I've used QuickFolders for a couple of years now with no problems at all, and I love how they keep working on it (unlike so many extensions that get abandoned and die). I have hundreds of folders and QF helps me find the most important ones quickly. I particularly like the ability to drag a message to the QF tab to archive it quickly, and the fact that QF tabs drop down to reveal folders lower in the hierarchy.
First class work. Thank you very much.

Awesome! Finally I can use more than one account without getting lost. Using this addon with 10 different email accounts and it's brilliant. Makes my work so much more effective.

QuickFolders compliments Thunderbird very well, is well integrated, and I have found it very helpful. Axel Grude, the developer, has proven to be very sincere and helpful as well.

This is a fantastic add-on, but now the folders are lost whenever I restart Thunderbird. I'm using TB 3.1.15 with QuickFolders 2.9
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.9).... please go here:

And yes, this bug is already fixed - Simply install QuickFolders 2.9.1 <:o)
https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=24461
The bug only affects TB 3.0 and older - remember, the current release version of Thunderbird is 7.0.1

I have used this for quite some time. Just updated to Quick Folder 2.9 and I think I have a problem. The bookmarks that I set up do not stay after a restart. Each time I have to drag them up to the Quick folders bar to re-establish them. They work OK once there, but disappear after the next shutdown/restart of Thunderbird.
I am using Thunderbird 3.1.15 in Linux Mint. Are there any other Add-ons that break your add-on?
Let me know if you need any other info.
thanks

Works great, dramatically simplifies the management of all my emails.

Every time I open thunderbird now I get the following message: "QuickFolders was successfully upgraded to version:2.8"
and it open a mozdev.org web page. Any way to stop it from doing this?
You found [bug 24389] which affects only a few users.
Please go to http://downloads.mozdev.org/quickfolders/ and then download the patched version QuickFolders-tb-pb-sm-2.8.3pre16.xpi - this will fix the issue! You can also mail me directly for support

Axel
