My Reviews

Emoji

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I once LOVED this add-on, but since TB 102 it's lost function AND is no longer providing VECTOR images as it had been. Now, once I insert an emoji the emoji window goes BLANK and is unusable for the remainder of that email! - I DO see other issues with TB 102 - I had to stop using Calendar because of repetitive notifications for PAST appointments, for example. So, the suggestion that it's a 102 issue is most certainly credible. I AM on TB for macOS Catalina. My hardware (early 2013 iMac) can't go beyond that release...

Emoji

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I have loved the add-on but under Thunderbird 102 I haven't been able to USE any of the emojis. If I click on one it isn't inserted and there's no right-click function either. I can't 'select and drag' - so I see NO way at all of inserting the emoji.

Also the 'window' that displays emojis is only five rows of four emojis - much smaller than what was visible under Thunderbird 91.

Looking forward to changes.
I'd be happy to PAY for this one, by the way!

I've since figured out how to access the emojis.
Another emoji add-on I tried stopped DISPLAYING emojis after I changed its SETTINGS and that also made the SETTINGS disappear!!

Eager for the TB 102 compatible version of Emoji!

I haven't yet used the add-on, but I would LOVE to see a column for use in All Mail that would show what FOLDER the mail resides in!

Wow! THANK you, so much!

But a question - in this and the original version the "more colors" seems not to effect the full color pallette offered.

I'm running macOS Mojave on iMac.

Prevent Delete

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Wonderful add-on, but we NEED it for TB 60+!!

I'll be happy to offer support if I hear there is a plan to adapt to the new Thunderbird APIs!!!

This is a TRULY helpful add-on when it works!!

Copy Sent to Current

My last entry displayed ignorance!
GLAD to have this function back!
Works GREAT!

Under Thunderbird 60.4.0 for Mac, this doesn't do ANYTHING. I can open and adjust its SETTINGS, but it NEVER offers the option to COPY. Thunderbird REPORTS copying to SENT, but copysent2current never intervenes. What's up???

It WAS working nicely in 5x.y versions I had.

Folder Categories

SHOWS no categories TO assign
And, if, as other comments say, nothing can be DONE with "categories", then it has no purpose in the first place

Highlighter

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I clicked on the highlighter icon (which looks like a standard, wood pencil) and the address line, its entire length to the end of the window, though empty but for the NAME of the recipient followed by a comma, was highlighted in yellow. Selecting "clear' eliminated that.

Then, SELECTING text, I highlighted specifying Cyan, but only the FIRST WORD of the text was highlighted and I was unable to select and highlight any other portion of that LINE!

Double-click selecting INDIVIDUAL WORDS in the line DOES work, but of course the result is choppy and the effort is considerable.

Definitely worthy of no more than a 0.x.x release level assignment.

I thought this had worked well in the past. Am I wrong??

Running T-bird 52.4.0 under mac OS 10.12.6.

Doesn't appear to apply to color folders. But the only entries containing "color"

Are you seeing these?? I keep donating! :-) HOPEFULLY!

Tried Error Console and NOTHING shows under "col" let alone "colorfolders". The add-on won't even COLOR a folder in the first place now - the first time this has happened.

This is all I could find:
Expected color but found ‘top’. Error in parsing value for ‘background-image’. Declaration dropped. render:2:30836
Error in parsing value for ‘border-color’. Declaration dropped. css-min.css:1:13924

And:
reflow: 0.05ms
reflow: 0.04ms function openPopupAtScreen, popup.xml line 67
reflow: 0.02ms

Menu Wizard

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I keep searching for the DELETE button on email - would LOVE to have it on the LEFT where I would find it most accessible. So it would be great if Menu wizard included the compose pane menus!

Otherwise, Menu Wizard is beyond what I need (or I am behind what it can do!).

I see in the .js file a 2011-2013 copyright and only v1.0 and 1.1 no update dates in comments.

I've donated at least $60 which I realize is undoubtedly paltry, but I HOPED to encourage a new look at the add-on.

OK I LOVE the extension! And find it VERY helpful - if ONLY the folder colors would PERSIST, but every update of Thunderbird wipes out all my color assignments. If there is anything I can do to save and reload them, PLEASE let me know!

The enhancement request is to replace the color choice list WITH the expanded color grid - AND to actually apply those colors TO the folders! I can't see where it works fully.

Later versions of Thunderbird have been wiping-out all color assignments. I have gone through and re-colored my folders over a half dozen times so far and with perhaps 200 folders this isn't trivial.

I donated once and am willing to donate again - I realize it isn't nearly enough to pay for development time - I'm not rich! But I can hope this problem will be resolved.

I don't especially want to go into this on TB/EB 54.x because they BOTH WIPE OUT folder color settings!

When I try to use the color folders color palette, it will not apply most of the colors presented.

Color Folders

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm running TB 52.1.1 under macOS 10.12.6

The full range of colors from the color folders palette is not applied when selected.

Don't know if the following is any help:

ReferenceError: colorfolders is not defined [Learn More]
TypeError: this.chromeUtilsWindow.openUILinkIn is not a function[Learn More] hudservice.js:425:5

When I enter colorfolders in the filter, I get the following:

colorfolders
ReferenceError: colorfolders is not defined [Learn More]

When I click [Learn More], it tries to open an application - but doesn't know what application to use!

I really don't WANT to attempt this with TB /EB 54 because they both WIPE OUT my tab color settings!!

Oh, one request (if possible) - color the NAME of the folder...
