For what its worth you can get this extension working in Tb15 by performing a max version hack on the install.rdf file contained withing the .xpi file
Look for the line <em:maxVersion>

I've updated the max version, and the theme should install in TB15 to TB17 now. There do appear to be some minor bugs with the new version, though nothing major. Hopefully I'll be able to fix those soon.

If only Mozilla would quit changing the UI every few months...

I really love this add on as it is very functional and great to work with, unfortunatelly it does not work with Thunderbird 15. Please update soon as I have trouble working with the default theme. Thanks

Really nice. Works fine in TB v13. Beautiful classic icons. Ergonomic, tasteful, not too flashy or 'cute'. Eliminates buttons above preview window, but no big deal.

Thank You!!!

Will this be updated for Thunderbird 12.0? Thanks :)

The compatibility information has been updated, and it now installs cleanly in TB12. There are some minor issues that have crept up in the last several versions, and I'm working on a update to fix those.

I agree this is just about the cleanest one out there, and I want this for my default Thunderbird 11. Although a make or break for me is the opened, unopened, new mail Icons next to the mail entries, that's the feature I always look for. It's easier to take in at a glance, and it would be good to recommend to the older set I work with as well, than that, 4 gold stars!

Wow! This is just how Thunderbird should look by default!
However...I could not restore the message buttons using the method suggested. If only the theme would not disable them by default...is there any other way to restore the buttons? I'm using TB 10.
Thanks, and great work again!

There's no way to restore the buttons to the message pane with this theme. They can be added to the mail toolbar using the method described, or by right-clicking on the toolbar and selecting "Customize..."

I would like to make this feature optional - if anyone out there knows how to do that, please let me know.

nice look, but on the message pane all the buttons (reply, forward, etc.) have jumped to the left side.
Annoying - and I really don't understand why the tb developers have decided to torture us with the horrible design they did from tb 6 on. (although this has nothing to do with this theme...)

Thanks for pointing this out - version 1.0.2 corrects this issue by removing the buttons.

This is a fantastic theme! Crisp, clear and brings back the TB theme that everyone seems to enjoy. Much thanks to the author!
