This is not only a replacer for the old download status bar, in my opinion the author has improved on it in several key areas. Szalgiris also deserves special mention for actively requesting suggestions and implementing them very quickly.

Wanted to say Thank You to the author Szalgris.
Just found this addon when looking for a replacement for the other Status Bar addon with the same name that got broke after FireFox 26.
For anyone else that wondering how to 'auto clear' any download after it's done. Don't keep adding .jpg or .flv in the file types box.
... just use " * " one Astrix as a wildcard and all will vanish when download is complete.

Was looking for an add-on to replace Download Statusbar 0.9.10, because that doesn't work on Firefox 26. Download Status Bar is a great replacement, it works like a charm, and it's being improved on a regular basis (loving the icons in the context menu). Kudos to the developer!

Excellent. Really makes a difference not to have that obnoxious Downloads popup anymore, and the built-in progress bar of the item currently being downloaded makes it really useful and convenient. I have no idea how we've browsed without it all this time.

Wow. Szalgiris, absolutely great work and effort on picking up the now dead Download Statusbar 0.9.10 project and bringing it back to life to all of us that really loved and depended on this add-on.

thanks for updating this extension. I wonder if you wouldn't mind would restoring these features:
-mini mode
- open download panel when you close firefox, if a download is in progress
- show a popup with all the download infos whenever we hover the download in progress with the mouse
- adding the possibility to show more infos on the download box (like in the past versions)
