Unrestricted Access? Uh. No. Do not install this...

Thank you, Dirk Steinmetz! "right-click - turn it off", if you screw it down, then in general - fire!

Fonctionne très bien avec 91.
Je regrette que cette extension ne comporte pas de clic droit pour ouvrir un menu et faciliter la fermeture ou autre.

Works fine in conjunction with Thunderbird's native setting to minimize to tray and a Windows startup folder shortcut set to open Thunderbird minimized.

Only one star because this extension lacks a critical feature -- a right click on the tray icon to pop up a menu with an exit option in order to easily and quickly shut down the program.

Does what it promises. I give 3 stars because it is not really useful to me. If it were minimizing to TRAY, I would give 5 stars. I need to keep Thunderbird running because of calendar alarms. What's the use of a calendar if it's not running?

Does what it says. Will it be updated for Thunderbird 102?

The version bump for 102 should be out now. :)

I only just installed, but some observations:

No apparent performance hit. So; Thunderbird does not seem to be slower, and also, CPU and RAM usage does not seem to be any different.
No issues with reliability so far either.

As for functionality: 100% what I was looking for (lmao). Literally installed this within a couple of hours of getting Thunderbird.

I'll update this review if anything drastically changes I guess

OS: Windows 10
CPU: i5 2500k
GPU: GTX 960

Updated video drivers. Kaspersky Anti-Virus in the background. Again, it works (for me), and isn't broken.

Hi rsjtdrjgfuzkfg,
I saw that with the latest beta version of thunderbird 99.01 your "Minimize on close" doesn't work anymore.
Will you still make it compatible?
Thank you.

EDIT 26.01.2022:

Thank you for your Info, rsjtdrjgfuzkfg!
I was not aware of the option to miminize to tray within the TB options. A combination of your addon with the option make my TB dream come true! <3 Of course you get 5 Stars for this now! :)

ORIGINAL COMMENT 25.06.2022:

Minimizes only to the taskbar, not to tray. :/

Please read the description, this add-on is not claiming or intending to minimize to the tray. If you want that, enable minimizing to tray in Thunderbird's settings.

Splendid little add-on, rsjtdrjgfuzkfg, but would it be possible for you to add that little feature to MoC, right-mouse-click on the icon in the tray to close Thunderbird?

Assuming you mean the built-in icon available on Windows only: No. That icon and its menu cannot be modified by add-ons, it exists purely in native code. You might be able use a separate application to minimize Thunderbird to the tray instead (instead of using the built-in feature).

No sys tray addon available anymore for years now, KDocker only works in X11 and only manually from what I can tell, which was really tiresome. I guess it is finally time to say goodbye and rest in peace to Thunderbird. :(

I have loved this extension forever, but sadly Thunderbird 94 beta will not install it, as it claims to not be compatible :-(

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1.1).

I don't officially support beta versions of Thunderbird. That said, this add-on will most likely work if you opt-out of compatibility checking.

Great replacement for Firetray if you use it together with KDocker

Не розумію, чому розробник Mozilla Tunderbird не здогадався в параметрах зробити аналогічну опцію

Great add-on! Could you please add support for Thunderbird 91? Thank you in advance.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1.0).

In my tests, it works in 91 without issues. Ratings are not good for support, so write me a mail with error messages / screenshots if it does not work for you.
