I really like this addon, but I have recently noticed a bug with the images.
When right clicking one it adds the size of it in the element.styles, thus breaking the responsiveness of websites.
This also makes it impossible to zoom in/out if only the an image is opened (with left click - since the image is bigger than the screen.)

Problem: you can still hold right-button and then use the scroll too zoom. But after that, when you release right button, it will show context menu which didn't happen in 48 or earlier version. And after that, your scroll are still zooming the image (despite you've released right-button).
Please fix, thanks.

Image zoom is a great addon and extremely useful for resizing pictures easily in web pages.
I urge the developer to update it to remove the bug that crops the image when zooming reported by another review, and also to ensure compatibility with the E10S Firefox system that is due to be released shortly.

Since FF 46, zooming ends with top of image being cropped out of view, while scroll bar shows page is maxed-out in up position. Problem persists whether from mouse scroll or choosing zoom value from context menu, also from either image being viewed alone or from inside a web page. Uninstalling / reinstalling changes nothing. Images of proof from ImageZoom website; https://github.com/jasadams/imagezoom/issues/33.

Thanks for the info. Indeed, installing it again (even without uninstalling first) fixed the addon - it's working again.

From version 46, mouse clicks such as right button plus left button for zoom to fit don't work anymore. Already tried uninstalling/installing the add-on

Uninstalling this add-on, and then re-installing is sometimes a solution. Should that be??
For me it's working again.

It works just fine on Firefox 45 (and 44 and 43 and those before) and it is multiplatform (I am on SunOS that is Openindiana hipster/illumos)
allows to rotate, zoom, just what would one need viewing images.
I would suggest to add option of setting default settings for fit Zoom width, but since I can enable right click>FitWidth ,it could be said it is good enough and well suited. Support the author! :)

doesn't seem to work on ff 41.0.2
the icons of + - that were appearing on mouse hover on pics to zoom in, zoom out are no appearing, so it has lost its main convenient functionality,
we have have to access it through right click menu.
please revise it.

Image Zoom will zoom most images on a page and get out of the way when not wanted.
Image Zoom is a great add-on because you can see the Entire Image, at a much larger size (that you set under preferences), WITHOUT having to click on the Image to see it enlarged, usually in another tab or window.
Also, you do NOT have to click something else to get back to what you were reading or looking at before.
With Image Zoom you just hover the mouse arrow *or* track pad arrow over any part of the image and it gets bigger !!! ( Thank you ! )
To return to the original image, *or* go an associated link, etc.,
*** Remove the Arrow From the Image ***
If the enlarged image covers the original image, and you want to return to the original image, *or* go an associated link, etc,
***.Click Once While Viewing the Enlarged Image ***
Immediately, the image goes away, and you can see the original image as it was before enlarging it.
If you want to copy the Image Zoom image you need to use a separate image capture application.
With one, you can copy the Image Zoom image by using the applications settings.
Treat the Image Zoom image as you would any other image.
Image Zoom has made a HUGE difference to me when viewing images on Facebook where photos, drawings, etc. can show only a part of the full image.
This quickly shows me the entire photo without taking up a lot of my time.
No click and go to another tab to see it, close the tab, find where you were before.
Now I just put that arrow over the image and Image Zoom shows it, usually much larger than the original.
My eyesight is getting worse, so a larger picture is better, but not if it gets in the way or makes reading things take a lot longer.
That is why I told you to click on the Image Zoom, enlarged image to get back to the original one you were looking at, but was too small.
This click is not included in the description and can take awhile to find and understand.
At least it was that way for me.
* My one complaint *
Image Zoom does not enlarge some pictures.
I am not sure why, but some smallish ones are not enlarged.
I think these are images that display fully on the page, at 100 percent.
*** My one request ***
PLEASE have an OPTION to Remove the Percent Enlarged from the lower right corner of the image when expanded.
Why?
01) It is annoying.
02) If you take a picture of it, if that area isn't black it is almost impossible to remove the Percent Enlarged without making a blurry or odd looking corner.
03) It looks terrible to have the Percent Enlarged show when printed.
....... I did NOT think the Percent Enlarged would show when I printed out some map directions.
....... I was terribly embarrassed.
04) It looks terrible to have the Percent Enlarged show on your images when giving a slideshow of photographs of your work.
05) I forget at my age, so when I see some little print, I have to get a magnifier to see what it is.
....... It usually turns out to be the Percent Enlarged nonsense.
*** Please note that I have used this to enlarge MY photos, images, or map directions, not other people's photos or images. ***
I took off 1 star because of all the work needed to remove the Percent Enlarged, in the lower right corner, to be far too time consuming to give this add-on a 5 star rating.

Great and useful add-on, but it's incompatible with Multiprocess Firefox.
Please fix it. Thanks.

On Fx 43, once you zoom a pic, the scroll wheel won't let go of the pic ... you can't scroll the page - the image just zoom up and down. Refresh is the only way to get it to let go.
Also, Toggle Image Fit/Reset does nothing.
I'm still using Fx 40, just testing 43-64 bit, so not a problem for me now. (same results in 32 bit)
But 43 is coming ... ;-)

Excellent, should be built-in in Firefox.
To all the whiners: it works PERFECTLY with ff 40.0.3

Someday you added the mirror rotation?

The lack of this one particular add-on is the only thing that's keeping me from using Chrome as my default browser. For me, Image Zoom is without a doubt the most used of all the features available for Firefox. Jason, I hope you're contemplating making a version for Chrome!

Seems it just stopped working for the latest Firefox Dev Edition (40.0a2) :( first activation on a page hooks the wheel to it and the release action doesn't get triggered anymore. On FF Beta 38 it's still fine! :/

It had stopped functioning. Nothing else worked (or presently works) as simply and usefully. This latest version functions nicely. Thanks Jason.

It doesn't do what it says it does.

This add-on would be perfect if the center of the zoom while scrolling the mouse-wheel was the position of the mouse cursor. In other words, it would be perfect if the mouse-wheel-scroll zoom functioned like the mouse-wheel-scroll zoom in Windows Photo Viewer. Can such functionality be included in a future update?
