Excellent RSS reader ! Just what i was looking for. It's user friendly and with a nice to see interface. I did not see any increment in the CPU usage, a little bit in RAM (i'm running firefox in a Fedora distro)

It works great; however, recently resource usage has been terrible.
High cpu spikes and 800+ MBs of RAM used, yikes!
I'll re-enable and give five stars when an update comes out to address this.

Works well, nice user interface, and just what I was looking for. I did not see any noticeable increase in CPU usage when used with Firefox.

I'm in a search for a new rss add-on (Feed Sidebar is good, but have bugs with feeds disappearing after a number of unread feeds pile up). This looks promising, though i miss having a sidebar with feeds near my other content, but maybe i will get used to it.

Just that. I see the "will be when thunderbird is restarted" button but hitting it restores thunderbird to the bamboo-less state, that it was in before.

Thanks for the prompt response. Apparently it was a problem with incompatible version of Tab Mix Plus. Installed a developer version of the add-on and everything is working right. Thanks again.

"launch first automatic update at start of firefox" really slows down the process of opening firefox. there should be an option or it should be built in to delay the first automatic check of feeds by 30 seconds to 1 minute.
If you turn off automatic checking then the feeds wont load until however long you have set, 30 minutes/hour/ect. and that defeats the purpose.

Tried a few readers including this, Brief and Sage. Brief and Bamboo are the best for my needs and I prefer Bamboo over brief because I don't need or understand the concept of a trash bin in a simple reader. Sage doesn't alert me of new posts.
However, the interface could be a little better. Took me a while to figure out how to add groups. Once working though, it seems the best option.

Very nice and complete RSS reader, started using it because "Brief" reader got really buggy, just a few things.
1- Why dont themes apply to articles? it kinda hurts my eyes after a while of watching the white background.
2- Old Youtube videos from users youtube channel feed keep apearing in the feeds over and over again.
3- A option to place the article title before the article website would be useful for me as it makes it less confusing, also maybe the ability to enable website favicon at the left in the articles view.
4- When updating firefox gets really slow and hard to use, maybe an option for the automatic updated to update 1 folder at a time instead of all at the same time can help this.
5- There is no notification for new articles after update if the user doesnt have the bamboo tab open.
6- It would be nice to be able to right click a folder to mark it as read instead of going to it and then click the button to mark it read, the same for updating, deleting, favorite, etc.
7- You can't "CTRL+MOUSE WHEEL" (in win7) to zoom the interface but you can do it from the firefox menu (maybe a bug?)
8- It would be nice to have a option to make the reader use the entire space of the screen.
9- Also a option to disable updating on certain folders/feeds would be nice too, sometimes you want a feed/folder to stop updating but you dont want to delete it completely, being able for the reader to ignore feeds/folders would be a nice addition.
10- THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! I cant use PGUP and PGDN keys, its really bad to have to scroll with the mouse wheel or the mouse pointer, PLEASE ADD SUPPORT FOR "PAGE UP" AND "PAGE DOWN" KEYS!
Thanks for this great reader, i hope you dont abandon it like the Brief developer did.
1- i will see if it is possible to change the dark theme
2- this is a bug from the youtube feeds (in fact it removes items and re-add them after)
3- the feed name is only indicated in case of folder selection. it's a good idea to show the icon instead of the name
4- it will be implemented in a future version. you only can limit the automatic update to the favorite feeds
5- there is a toolbar button which can be inserted in the Firefox/Thunderbird interface
6- i know ^^
7- you can use Ctrl+ / Ctrl- / Ctrl0
8- Already discussed, the fixed width allow a better content display
10- theses keys cannot be used in the add-on, you can use the arrow keys.

Bonjour Julien,
It would be great to have an option to archive every message in a flux.
Ou bien je n'ai pas su trouver l'option? J'utilise Bamboo sous Thunderbird depuis ce matin; cela me parait bien marcher. Bravo!
Cordialement.
there is no way to save all items of a feed in one time

I tried to e-mail support, but no answer fo two days so I ask here.
Great work, very pretty and usefulI add-on, but it have some issue for me: I have a lot feeds and not very broadband conection. When I update feeds, or it is autoupdating, there's many loading errors and I have to choose feeds and update them one by one. Is there ability to update feeds not simultaneously but in sequence?
Sorry i have not received your message.
There is no option for updating one feed at a time.
You surely have folders to organize your feeds so you can update specific folders to limit the number of updated feed.

Хорошая программа! Пришлось немного донастроить (в её настройках), чтобы было удобно.
Немного не хватает локализации (чтоб поставить тем моим друзьям, кто не знает английского) и всплывающих сообщений (или бегущей строки) о свежих заголовках.

Thank you for completely enabling automatic updates without me knowing and completely removing all of the feeds I had, which I now have to go find again and re-add. Dont change peoples settings under there noses, if I wanted that done Id be on a Mac.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1-signed).Do you think that update the addon to a new version could erase all your feeds ?
and that i done it knowingly, for the fun ?
You could resolve your problem but there is no answer to the email i sent you.
PS: I don't care if you have a problem with Apple.

In general I like using Bamboo because it's easy to use and has most useful features a feedreader needs. But...
1) it should be possible to open articles in new tabs without switching to them automatically.
2) Bamboo often "forgets" recently added feeds or which feeds or articles were marked as read.
3) Bamboo 1.6 causes a memory leak in Firefox 15 on my Windows 7 x64 PC which causes the CPU usage to rise to 50-100 % and fills up the RAM (4 GB) in a few minutes so the computer is going to crash, if firefox is not closed. The problem disappears when Bamboo is deactivated.

1) It's buggy.
When I have several Firefox browsers open and I read or delete feeds in one of them, they won't be marked as "read" or as "deleted".
2) In the firefox toolbar Bamboo feed reader shows its icon (that's OK) and the number of unread feeds (I wish that would be customizable). The number of unread feeds stays the same even if all feeds are read.
3) Clicking on a feed opens the link in an existing tab. That may even be a tab in another firefox window. Sucks.
Otherwise: A very good plugin.
The new version 1.7 can be used in any window without problem.
I invite you to try it and make a new review if your opinion has changed.

This is a very useful addon but I find the tooltip popups a bit too much. I like dragging my cursor over the words as I read them but if i hit a link, a large tooltip pops up. I'd like a way to disable all tooltips. I don' think they're really needed at all.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.1.1-signed).The new version 1.7 includes an option to avoid link tooltips.

Good addon, but I have a little problem. New items from any feeds mark as unread, but I read this items and marked it as read earlier. For example, from this feed: http://habrahabr.ru/rss/best/ (Sorry my bad english).

One thing that would be nice is to have a desktop notification for the feeds, similar to firetray.
