Perfect, works a treat.

After installing this in Firefox, Firefox remained in US-English mode and I could not figure out how to change it. There is no preference in the Options dialog for it. Eventually I had to Google to find out how to change the spell check language. I do not appreciate having to do this simply to change my spell check language.
Eventually I found that you have to find a text box, right click in it and select "Languages" to change the language.
I know it's Firefox's fault for making this so undiscoverable but surely you could include install instructions on this add-ons page.

Now I can spell words with an 's' instead of 'z' without being attacked by squiggly red lines!

In order to make it working I've done the following:
- Stop Thunderbird
- Correct extensions\en-GB@dictionaries.addons.mozilla.org\install.rdf: put version 3.0 for first two entiries.
- Remove extensions.cache and extensions.rdf from profile directory (or move them to TEMP)
- Start Thunderbird

I cannot install this dictionary for Thunderbird version 2.0.0.16 (20080708). It complains:
Will work only with versions from 2.0a1 till 2.0b1

I'd give it 5 stars, but it clashes with other add-ons in my FF, so actually it deserves 4.5 :)

Spot on. At last, no more semi-literate yank spelling issues.
Bliss. :D

The add-on works and runs fine under Firefox 3.0.5, so anyone stating otherwise is doing something seriously wrong.
Would be nice to see some spelling fixes in this as some words it thinks are spelled wrong, hence why I haven't given it 5/5

Actually scratch that - i deleted the dictionaries folder in "program files\mozilla firefox", there was an old US dic. in there.

I had the same problem with this add-on saying it wasn't compatible with 3.0.5. Restarted FF a number of times without luck. Next day started FF as usual and it installed the add-on fine. Thought I'd mention, in case anyone else has a similar problem.

I write articles alot, and I never cease to be in need of a trusty dictionary. With this, I don't have to search online in Google or refer to my old paperback.

I use this at home and work and I must say I have always found it very easy to install and it works like a charm.
Just installed on 3.0.5 by the way
