First of all: thank you John for your hard work! Theodore "should" add you as co-dev for Xpunge as a sign of honor ;-).
John do really much for Thunderbird community and all Add-ons, his eyes and constructive tipps are on much Codes.
You're a real "pillar" for Thunderbird.

Yes, the current Version is really different. By clicking on Multipunge not all trash folders will triggered, only the trash folder for the top-level account work (this will be logged) and the vacuum didn't work, the legacy one have triggered all accounts/actions and logged this in error console (dev-tools) but this one didn't, so i think the app have maybe some bugs at moment.

[UPDATE]: Thanks for providing the necessary information to help me troubleshoot.

There was a bug in Xpunge when emptying the trash of POP3 accounts. This was also preventing Xpunge from processing any other accounts using MultiXpunge or the Timer.

Should be fixed in Xpunge 5.0.1.

I can assure you that I am honouring John in every way that he has agreed to :).

Can you please use the "Support E-mail" and send me an email, so we can troubleshoot your issue together?

You are reporting missing logging from the Error Console, and this is not behaviour that I can reproduce.

As another has stated, folder compaction is not working with version 5.0.

I am so happy to have Xpunge back! Big thanks & contibution for you!

I wish I had a choice to have the single 'Xpunge' icon for the toolbar instead of only the 'MultiXpunge' icon.

This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.

Hi. Having either button as an option is not possible.

But if you want a version of Xpunge with the single "Xpunge" button instead of the "MultiXpunge" button, please drop me an email.

I might be able to facilitate this.

Excellent petit module, il nous tarde que la mise à jour soit faite.
1000 Merci à la personne qui se dévoue pour nous donner une mise à jour.

Hi, Xpunge 5.0.0, which is compatible with TB 128.2.0 and above, has just been released.

Update for new version 5.0.0: Thank you!

Issue) While the add-on does delete trash and junk, it fails to compact any folders that are selected. MultiXpunge does not even attempt to compact. Xpunge goes through the motions but does not appear to compact anything as evidenced by an immediate manual compaction that does compact and shows amount saved in status bar. This has been thoroughly tested on multiple machines.

Again, thank you for working on this great add-on!

Indispensable add-on! One does not realize how much one needs it until it no longer works (such as TB 128 and later).

As others have said, we look forward to the new compatible version, and many of us are willing to contribute once it is released.

Must-have extension for years, many thanks for building and maintaining it!

Hi Dennis, thanks for the review. Xpunge is on GitHub, as of a couple of weeks ago, initially to allow collaboration for the TB 128 rewrite (which was not done by me). Follow the "Support site" email on the main page of Xpunge.

I can't live without this add-on. I use it before downloading items from RSS feeds. Hopeful for the TB 128 support. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the review. You mentioned that you use Xpunge with RSS feeds. Do you mind sending me an email (using the Support Email on the Xpunge page)? I'd like to discuss something.

Very useful addon.
I've used it a lot for years.
Looking forward to the version that works with the latest Thunderbird

Thank you so much Theodore for helping to bring your addon back into TB128+. This extension is being sorely missed!

Thanks Theodore Tegos! I used this all the time and will miss it due to the TB 128 changes that require a rebuild. There seems to be nothing else like it out there. I understand about not being able to do a rewrite. We wish you well, and thanks again for a cool add-on!

Thanks for the review. Stay tuned, Xpunge is coming to TB 128 soon.

Does exactly what we expect. Perfect! You need to be careful since it's a mighty tool: Check all your spam/junk etc... folders before clicking the wipe out button!

Excellent add-on, but I wish that it would recognize protonmail's SPAM folder as a Junk folder.

Works great on 102.5.1
(I have about 25 email accounts and this is very useful)
Great work. Thanks.

Great addon, but MultiXpunge doesn't work on Thunderbird 102.2.0, only Xpunge works.

This is probably the only add-on that I've used for years that just keeps on working, long after everyone else has abandoned thunderbird because of its' constant extension-breaking twists and turns. THANK YOU for that!

I just updated to TB ver. 91.2.1 and Xpunge quit working. I tried disabling it and then re-enabling it, but that didn't work. Next I tried removing the extension and all its settings, then reinstalling it. This worked and things are back to normal. Great extension, really does the job.

Author won't fix it through script pretending it's a tb's issue.

why this addon's useless:

3 steps with addon:

1. click on xpunge button
2. the number of deleted emails doesn't disappear, so you need to click on trash again (he won't fix it)
3. click on inbox again.

without addon:

1. click on trash
2. ctrl+A & del button
3. move back to inbox.
