Firefox is broken without this addon IMO. I had no idea that the author had abandoned the software and ceased further development of this essential add on. I have hundreds and hundreds of MHT files, so I am quite dependent on the add on. I can't find an original version of 5.6.9.12 of this add on, only from download sites. I notice that others have made the add on available in their reviews, but I don't know how safe this is. I would like a trusted source really. I tried the Mozilla archive add on but it does not open the MHT archives after creation, and the MAFF files don't accurately capture the pages. Some problems with CSS alignments and text I noticed. Real shame or I would have switched.

This is one of the bests. I use it everyday and now I am starting to get fed-up with Mozilla because every release of Firefox breaks compatibility with my add-ons. They must find a way to workaround this or I will end up moving to Chrome.

This is one of the add-ons that I always add whenever I'm installing FF on other PCs. I hope it gets an update for FF6.

I've used this addon forever. For Firefox 6.0, I right-click SAVE LINK AS Unmht 5.6.9 from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/unmht/eula/114681?src=addondetail. Then with Nightly Tester Tools "Force Addon Compatibility" enabled, I used menu File,Open File and selected unmht-5.6.9.xpi to install unmht. After Firefox restart, I successfully used Unmht 5.6.9 on a webpage to save as mht.

Hi,
this addon i searched years! Now found it and works! Great! And this in Options batch converting htm+folder -> mht! Is amazing!
People, can you tell me why the homepage of this product not works? I can't no ping it! It works for you?
Ideas for more comfortable use:
1) other icons on toolbar (i created myself a clone of this addon with more simple and clear icons)
2) use the same saved path as FF dialog box
Many thanks for it! Jan

I think the default title was really, really better with the first words of the slected text when you save a selected text. That way you can select a chapter with a title, the name of page is absolutly useless without the title of the selected part. Maybe you can make a default title page if nothing is selected and a default title page + first selected line or words (limited length) if something is selected. I wish to try it with options but I have no doc and cant reach the official url. Greatings for that "cant work without" extension.

Because, by default, the menu bar is is not shown in Firefox 4.0 and it is replaced by Firefox button, please add a menu item for saving web pages in MHT format in the menu of Firefox button.

Хорошее расширение, но есть 3 замечания:
1. Исправьте баг с прозрачным меню на панели дополнений (Ctrl + /) в Mozilla Firefox 4.0 RC1
2. Большие файлы открывает медленно.
3. Update!

Version 5.6.8

Plz, keep this page up-to-dated.
Plus, It seems save to MHT feature cannot handle some CSS.
For example
http://windowsforum.kr/?_filter=search&mid=lecture&search_target=title&search_keyword=%EC%B5%9C%EC%A0%81%ED%99%94&document_srl=1215779
(don't bother with it is Korean as its language is not matter about this issue)
Save this page with UnMHT and read with UnMHT gave exactly what I see when I disable CSS.
Save this page with UnMHT and read with IE 8 gave correct but get IE freeze.
Save this page with IE 8 and read with UnMHT or IE 8 gave correct with no problem.

Appears to allow provide a lot of functionality, with many detailed options. Browser integration needs improvement, however. For example, instead of simply adding a new file type to the existing Save As dialog, a new "Save As MHT" entry is added to the File menu.

I have never been able to get Firefox (with UnMHT installed) to open the MHT files created by UnMHT itself. I have set Firefox as the default app to handle the MHT file type. But double-clicking on an MHT file opens an error message in the browser - "UnMHT Error -- File Not Found". And (as other users have mentioned here), when opened in IE, they don't display correctly.
The apparent inability of Firefox and its extensions to create and handle MHT files is a glaring hole in Firefox. Why has nobody in the FF community been able or willing to do this?
