I like this add-on because sorting a folder's content by date or something different (obviously) breaks with the threaded view. Using this extension I can quickly restore my beloved threaded view without navigating through several sub-menues.

Hi, the T keyset is already used to go to next unread thread.
I've prefered to install keyconfig extension and put whatever key I want for MsgSortThreaded(); and MsgSortUnthreaded(); commands !!!

I gate this plugin another try.
And, after some RTFM I see there there is a special build intended for MacOSX users available at http://threadkey.mozdev.org/drupal/content/threadkey
The fix uses 'Cmd+T' & 'Cmd+U' for Threading/Unthreading threads.
Now it works great, except I need to disable the automatic updates for this plugin ;)

Great idea, but unfortunately this plugin takes over the 'T', 'U' & G keys in several Thunderbird features.
I can't create a folder named 'Security' because I can't type the 'U' and 'T', for example.
These keys are also broken in several other locations.
It would be nice map the commands to 'Meta-T' or 'Alt-T' or something instead. This is what most other Thunderbird keyboard shortcuts do.
I uninstalled this plugin.

Great! I can't believe this isn't in Thunderbird by default.

Because of the backout of bug 275871 the single shortkey "G" is removed from Thunderbird 3. Please, update your wonderful extension for Thunderbird 3 compatibility.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5).I already updated my add-on and released version 0.5. It's still in the sandbox, but I hope it will be available for everyone in a few days.

Just what I wanted !
Talking about threads, do you know something which could join two threads, or split one thread in two ? (sometimes thunderbird don't sort really how I would want...)
There are some user prefs to change threading behavior and there is a longstanding bug for customizing threads (adding messages to a thread or splitting a thread). See bugzilla:

Along with ngcomputing's problem, I'd add that the 't' and 'u' keys become unusable when you're trying to change account settings. Given how rarely most people change these settings (and the ease of disabling the add-on when you do) this is a minor bug, and ThreadKey does exactly what it says it does.

A good concept, however, when typing keyword search, creating folders etc, the T and U keys are always enabled making it impossible to do searches, folder operations etc., on the Mac.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4).This bug will be solved in Thunderbird 3. For the time being you can do the following as a workaound:
- When searching you can type Shift+T and Shift+U if you search case insensitive;
- Copy/paste the name for creating a folder from another application or compose window;
- (Temporarily) disable this extension.

I love it. Does exactly what it says on the tin (which should be functionality included by default in Thunderbird). :-)
