Looks like the TB update to 78.10.0 broke the add on again. Dialog to authenticate never populates.

Depuis l'installation de Thunderbird 78.9.1 (20210406220621) ce matin j'ai perdu mon agenda google et je n'arrive plus à le réinstaller. Cela marchait bien avec la version 78.9.O (20210322094744) installée le 15 mars

Worked fine until most recent TB update. Running TB 78.7.1 on Ubuntu 20.04. "No writable calendars. . ."
Makes this add-on completely useless.

Was working great until TB 78. I regret updating now. Now although still syncing cannot update from TB, warns no writeable calendars.

Addon is crashing tasks interface (freezing) when we try to create a task. If we remove the adon and try to create a task in my tasks the problem disappears.

The extension works well, allowing me to manage my multiple google calendars directly from Thunderbird. However there is a curious and annoying mistake. When I add a serial event to thunderbird (78.9.0, 32 bit - windows 7 and 10) with initial and final date, for instance for five working days, it ignores the final date and programmes the event forever. In this case I need to reopen all events and impose again the final date, but this is not always working, perhaps because thunderbird calendar remains stuck in setting too many dates in the future (forever). When it does not work, I have no other solution than edit the calendar in google and change the final date manually. A bit unconvenient. Please fix it. Thanks

After a couple of years of using a competing (Arch Linux) app I'm returning with a new (Windows) device and downloaded Thunderbird 78.9.0 complete with Lightning calendar integration. Blimey the Thunderbird Project has advanced so much. Exciting for all open source. This latest version of the add-on 'Provider for Google Calendar' has just blown me away. I used to spend hours getting this achieved and I genuinely can't believe how seemless getting it setup was. Outstanding work.

I suggest using CalDAV format to add Google Calendars to Thunderbird. No plugin is necessary. The Location (URL) should look something like this:
https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/###/events
where ### is replaced by the Calendar ID (including @group.calendar.google.com or @gmail.com or similar).
This plugin has been buggy recently (as noted in other reviews) and it's not necessary, unless you want to import a task list from Google Calendar. CalDAV works much better.

Sehr nützliches add-on. Arbeitet bei mir seit Jahren zuverlässig und unauffällig. Vor einem Update habe ich allerdings erst nach Problemberichten geschaut.

I noticed that a new updated of this add-on was released yesterday (19 March) which automatically updated in my Thunderbird 78.7.1 (Ubuntu 20.04). Today, all my Google calendar items are gone. Switching the Google Calendar in Thunderbird on/off or synchronizing it does not help either. On the Google Calendar web interface everything is still there. Please advise.

As of Thunderbird 78.8.1, the calendar now automatically shows whenever you start Thunderbird. You no longer have to go to the settings and hide/show it.
Not too much to say about the add-on itself other than it works as expected.

For me it stopped working with TB78.7 where I had major problems with appointment series with single editions. Sonce TB78.8 it works again and as good as it always worked.
