Great addon. But "403: rate_limit_exceeded" has occurred today. I'm looking forward to countermeasures.

But, like Geek Girl, I'm having problems today. I think an update must have broken it. Thunderbird calendar won't show my calendar entries that are based on my email address. I get a message on my phone that I need to authorize access, which I do. But even though the message goes away, the calendar is still broken and won't synchronize with the calendar that shows up perfectly well on my phone. I suspect there has been a coding error.

We have used this add-on for several years and it has worked seamlessly until today. It appears to have totally crashed now. Please sort out asap.

I've been enjoying this add on for years. Today, it updated automatically and BROKE. Now I'm getting "Authorization Error" error 403 rate_limit_exceeded. I can see here that a ton of people are affected. I see something in the release notes saying "Re-use same key as 91.0.2 to avoid rate limit exceeded errors." What does that mean? What key? I log in using my gmail account with 2 factor authentication. It's worked fine until now. If there's something that users need to do for this update to work, then 1) the instructions need to be very clear and 2) shame on the developers for pushing out an automated update that requires user action and not explicitly telling them.

Getting some weird 403 Rate_Limit_Exceeded error even though I am giving the addon permission with Google.
(Edited) - Problem seems to have been fixed.

The developer has tweeted as follows: "Anyone experiencing issues with the Provider for Google Calendar right now, due to the last update everyone needs to log in again. With ~260k users that is triggering rate limiting. This should clear up by itself in the next few days."
Also, might I remind us that this is free, and even if there are hic-cups I think we should be very grateful to Philipp.
I too have used this for years and been very happy. However, I now also have error 403. The in-built solution works for calendars, but I cannot see how to add tasks. Am I missing something? Does anyone know how to add sync with Google tasks?

Like many others, I'm getting the Error 403 issue as of this morning. As far as I can tell, Thunderbird's now-built-in support is only for Google Calendar, and does not extend to Google Tasks, so I still need Provider. Correct, or am I missing something?
