When going through several thousand e-mail a day.... This makes sorting, moving, deleting, and et cetera, et cetera just a breeze... leaving enough time for a coffee break. That why the ~smile~

Nicew add-on. I just ask you to unify the naming. On this page you call it "Gather the senders !". Add-on itself is called "Gather the Authors !". Hate inconsistency in the naming :)

I am agree with you about the name consistency.

The first version was developed with the term Author. English isn't my mother tongue and I have found after the term senders was better than authors.

I will change it as soon as I will publish a new version.

What would make this really useful to me is if it also selected all emails that I had send to that same address.

Could you explain more your request ?

You need to select the mails sent to the same expeditors in the sent directory or you need to select all the mails in different directory ?

Great job on creating an add-on that helps with productivity by saving a lot of time from having to sift through all emails or by having to change the sorting view, then select all etc.
I sort my messages by date and don't like having to switch views just to clean things up.

I was using it to just file emails into folders, but it occurred to me that I could use it to select all and delete the large accumulation of frequently delivered emails from social networks, mailing lists etc, and delete them quickly.

Thank you for the time and work that you put into developing this.


I do hope that you'll be updating this for Thunderbird 3.
