Just go here http://www.facebook.com/eQuakeAlert and follow the instructions. All will work on Firefox 4 then.

I really like eQuake Alert and with quakes intensifying and seemingly happening more frequently I sure wish this add-on could be updated. It seems that every time Firefox upgrades to a new version eQuake does not work.

The Addon work fine on FF vs. Aurora 16.0a2

As someone who loves knowing what's going down with Mother Earth's seismic activity, this extension was a Goddess-sent little doodad!
But...I just upgraded to the new version of FF, so it's not compatible...boo!
Of all the extensions I've ever considered donating to financially, this is one of the first--and the most helpful if you're into knowing where an earthquake hits before the media do! ;)

You can continue using an incompatible version of EQuake Alert if you have Mr. Tech Toolkit installed. Go to Miscellaneous section, click on XPI Install Options, uncheck Enable Addons Compatibility Checking. Click OK and you're done. Use with caution. I haven't had any trouble with EQuake Alert, but there might be repercussions with other Extensions if you don't update them. Incidentally, the latest version of EQuake Alert is 4.0.3.6, if you can find it. (Not available from Mozilla or the Owner's website.) It's still incompatible with the latest Firefox.

I'd give this five stars if I hadn't had to wait so long for the update. It's been several months and several Firefox versions ago since I was able to use it.
I never thought I'd get so into earthquakes, and can't remember why I downloaded it to begin with, but now that I've used it, I REALLY MISS IT!! Please update!!!

it runs always a version or two behind schedule. As a developer, I believe it might not be a bad idea to develop/test this plugin using the Firefox version that is coming next.

Great extension.
FF 3.6.3 is in the works.
WARNING - experimental software endorsement.
DON"T try this if you are not ready to provide feedback.
This extension is one of my "core" extensions in FF. If you go to the bottom of the Add-On page and click on View All Versions, you will see that the developer is working on versions that are compatible with FF 3.6.3 and beyond. Proceed at your own risk, but I have loaded in on my MacBook Pro and it runs fine.
I'm off to donate so that the author can continue on improvements.

Not cool. I had to reinstall my Windows and installed the new Firefox and my favorite program, eQuake, won't work. Very disappointed.

I think that I am very convenient.
There is not only the English and strongly thinks that I should be able to cope with the language of each country.
If this supports Japanese, a lot of Japanese who are the Mecca of the earthquake use it.

I also successfully downloaded the latest version from https://addons.mozilla.org/es-ES/firefox/downloads/file/83890/equake_alert-4.3.3.6-fx.xpi?confirmed. It works great! Thanks for updating! I love being the "first to know."

I just successfully installed the latest version from https://addons.mozilla.org/es-ES/firefox/downloads/file/83890/equake_alert-4.3.3.6-fx.xpi?confirmed, which hvillanu (see below) was kind enough to post. It's version 4.3.3.6.
Now all is better and I can see what's shaking again. My thanks to the developer for creating a 'must have' add-on.
