Stops all ad's in google-search results. My friends ask whether I have any 'permium' non-ad account with Google!
There are literally numerous & v.useful options to control the settings.
[sometimes people feel this is overwhelmingly large in number; a few of my friends didn't dare to configure them.]

I LOVE the remove ads feature and the uniqueID cookie anonymizer is also essential!

This is a very handy extension. Thank you.
I'd like to point out that the infinite scrolling option ("stream search results") does play nicely with Googlepedia (another nice extension) EXCEPT if the Wikipedia article is quite long (like the article for "Boston" or "Taiwan". In those cases, the infinite scrolling function turns off after a certain number of Google results.
Any thoughts?

jawoll, Google Suggest funktioniert wieder einwandfrei. Endlich laeuft CustomizeGoogle wieder rund. Danke und bitte nicht aufhoeren, einfach ein tolles Addon welches nur noch durch "NoScript" uebertroffen wird :)

Top 5 add-on if you use Google regularly. Many enhancements make Google's services work better and less intrusive. One of the add-ons that puts Firefox well over the top of other browsers.

CustomizeGoogle resulted in streaming of search results. The limits on search results in Google preferences no longer worked

I love this extension and I love how I can set what I want to appear on Google... However, the incompatibility with the U3 version of Firefox is very disappointing.

I cannot tell you how sick I was of the same 5 or 6 sites popping up every time I look for replacement parts or software, or the same site popping up over and over under different Internet addresses, but having the same graphics, content, layout and prices. Finally I have the power to permanently block any site which does nothing more than reflect my search terms back at me so the page comes up regardless what I'm searching for, put my search terms in some crappy search engine I've never heard of before and gives me a new list of search results, comes up 700 times at 700 addresses, even though it's obviously the same site, uses any means to get me there that I find to be deceptive, inappropriate or misleading or just downright has a habit of delivering crappy content...over and over again, regardless of my search. I have been begging Google to add a similar feature for years. THANK YOU!

the ads in gmail aren't blocked anymore after Google updated gmail today...

Doesn't work with Gmail anymore (i.e. it has no affect on Gmail). Otherwise, great extension.

Back in the days of FF 1.0, I installed the then current version of this ext, and it forced me to say there weren't enough stars on the menu to rate it properly, so I had to keep it down to 5 (5 was the maximum at that time. Check www.customizegoogle.com to see that comment, they still have it). I've been disconnected for quite some time, and recently got my chance to install the latest FF and now I rediscovered CG. Now I can finally rate it properly, with the 10 stars it deserved to begin with!
