I haven't found any support page or bug tracking page for this extension, so I write it here. If I want add link with spaces and characters with non-latin1 characters to custom tag and save it, it change to not url form. So if I insert it this text with url to form in is not url anymore.

I've tried to create a new custom tag with *[url="http://support.mozilla.com/cs/kb/Nouzový režim"]test[/url]* and it seems to work as expected. Can you send me an e-mail with the details of the custom tag you're trying to create?

Wonderful, especially the custom tags. One thing is missed dearly, though, at least by me: It could use a variable for cusor placement.

I've been using this plugin for a while now and I highly recommend it to anyone who finds themself inputing lots of basic html and bulletin board tags into comment forms and text boxes on the web.

Completely useless - zero stars. Sadly I have to give it at least one to be allowed to post this review.
1) It doesn't provide all of the bbCode tags needed, such as [quote], [img], [list] etc.
2) The whole idea is flawed - what is needed is a way to make the bbCode buttons on forums work, not a context menu.
Did you really try this extension before commenting?
1) [quote], [img], [list] are all available, both using selected text (bbcodextra->extra) and clipboard content (bbcodextra->clipboard)
2) That sounds like flawed JavaScript code in the forums you're using (e.g. I use a forum based on simplemachines everyday, and all buttons work fine), and I don't see the point in blaming Firefox or this extension for that kind of problem.

Works fine as far as it goes, but missing the Symbol Codes and Custom Tag features in the other BBCode AddOn https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/128 which unfortunately won't install in SM v2.02
Add those features and you'll have it all.
I'm currently working on adding Custom Tags, no plan on adding Symbol Codes (but you can use Custom tags for that).

This has to be the most useful general-purpose extension for Firefox - bar none!
I use this daily and find it invaluable. Far better than labourisly typing in markup by hand, or worse, using the often broken rich text editors many websites use.
My wish for this extension would be the addition of user-definable tags and maybe Wiki markup. Otherwise, it fills all my needs.

Of all my Firefox addons, I think I use this one the most. I've tried the other BBCode related extn offered here and none can compare to BBCodeXtra in the number of options and ease of use.
