Everything works perfectly, with the side-effect that it broke Google Video for me (I tested with it on and off to make sure).

Of all the extensions I use or have seen, this is the best!
Not only does it give you more features and make searching more convenient, but it also increases security by switching to Google's SSL (https://).
I know that there is always room for improvement and that there are probably other services/features that this add-on can include, but that is the only reason I can't give this a 10/10.
With LAN/WAN sniffing tools becoming more and more common in networks, this is an Absolute Must Have for any Google account user.

One of the options is to allow HTTPS connections by default for GMail. A must for those who are using unsecured wireless connections to check and read their GMail email prevents other people from snoopping.

It's a fabulous s/w. Just a comment; there is no way to set more than one language in search tab. If you could fix it the rating would be 10/10. Anyway many thanks!!!

One of the BEST extensions, a must-have for Google enthusiasts. Love the Google Image tweaks, the one-click link to the Archive.org version, but especially the Filter. There should be a community filter where links are submitted and universally filtered, much like AdBlock Plus.

I use this extension all the time when I'm doing comparison shopping online. Lets you bounce to search results from several different shopping sites. It's also refreshing to not have to do so much clicking to save images found using the Google Image search.

A great Firefox extension for those who use Google a bit or a lot. It gets rid of those annoying ads you see on the top of the page and sides of the page, gives you the choice of results from other search engines easily and protects you privacy by not allowing Google to build up a profile on you and your browsing and searching habits.

Appart from some improvements of googles services, the most important is that it secures our privacy (with the option of turning off google analytics) and keeps our peace of mind away from ads. it's a must!

I use google all the time and this is the best add-on out there for it. It makes searching so much easier and I amaze my fellow college students with the reference sites I can find.

Amazing.. I was just playing around with stumble upon, Decided to check Firefox category to see if maybe there is some firebox extension or tricks i never heard of, and 2nd website points me to this.. with a video showing how it works.. Just plain amazing.

Getting rid of those annoying ads and filtering out those stupid shopping sites is great.
Also, the list of alternative search engines at the top of every search is pretty useful sometimes.

I haven't tried all the features, but it's worth the download just for the site filtering! Who needs search results (for products) cluttered with webspam like bizrate.com, buy*.com, dealtime.com, insiderpages.com, nextag.com, pricegrabber.com, shoplocal.com, shopping.com, superpages.com, & webclassifieds.us? These "lists of sites" web hits are all about browser ads and click referrals, and reduce the usefulness of the Google search. The filter capability of CustomizeGoogle helps clear out the clutter.

@Nila: Your review doesn't make any sense. You can't be anoymous if you're logged in to Google. The "anonymous your Google UID" *could* sometimes break Google functionality if you're logged in (like the "Note this" link in the search result.
@feetome: Your review doesn't match your rating. The "Stream Search Result Pages" is optional and disabled from start. If you don't like it, then don't use it :-D

Absolutely great!!! It would be worth a phat 10 if the spaces in Gmail where the ads used to be are deleted as well so there's more room for mail. Same with the search results. Apart from that: Love this extension!!!
