Great add-on! Working, for me at least, in Thunderbird 60.8.0.
Would you please consider allowing the background color to be set for each identity in the Folder Pane and the Thread Pane? The main reason I am using this add-on is to tell the identities apart, and not make mistakes.
I have a unified "virtual" inbox configured in Thunderbird. In its Thread Pane I have a "sort by" column "Account". I want emails in that column to show the Identity Color.
The many accounts and identities in the virtual inbox have the potential for confusion, but your add-on make this a great way to see all the email! It would be even better if Identities (not just Accounts) had unique colors!

I was hopeing you might make it compatible with SeaMonkey 2.53 - 64 bit

I know this might seem impossible, but about 85% of all firefox
and thunderbird add-ons do work with this un-official version of seamonkey.
After all SeaMonkey is a browser that has Thunderbird built into it
I use this site to convert all the add-ons that normally would usually say 'not compatible with'

Amazing ! regret not to have known it before.
One strange thing ! sender do not change from bold to regular when read messages.
It works for recipient, correspondent, date ...

Fantastic - I got so frustrated with accidentally sending from the wrong email account, and this solved the problem perfectly. The colours make it clear which account I am replying from. Thanks!

I love this add-on! I would love it even more if it also had the OPTION to color the view email area too!!
But even as is, man, this really helps with visual organization. I have 5 email accounts, and keeping track of one from the other, really does take a lot of effort. But with the colors, everything pops! I don't have squint or scroll! I know exactly what account I'm looking at!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you - Thank you for updating promptly this add-on to TB 60. I missed it badly for a few days and was going to revert to previous TB version. I have 3 profiles and each have several accounts so cannot live without this add-on which is top notch. Not only all accounts can have a separate color of my choice but moreover, I can set up background color in the interface and font size. PERFECT - Keep the good job. Millions thanks

Very useful add-on. Is there any chance to make it compatible with Thunderbird 60.0? In the meantime, I will not update to TB 60.

Great Addon, but it makes scrolling in the thread pane unbearable, I have 4 accounts and scrolling in the pane view is extremely laggy. Mac OS 10.12.6 Thunderbird 52.8

This Add-On has been Tremendously Helpful to me.
Previously, I was considering going to a different email client because Thunderbird does not Natively distinguish between accounts (which I find odd); but this Excellent Add-On has made the difference!
I have just one suggestion for the author:: Your excellent addon IS working just FINE with my Thunderbird Version, even though the "Version Information" section says that it won't (I am on the Beta Channel, and am currently running Thunderbird Version 52) . . . So could you PLEASE make the little adjustment that would allow it to work with the newer versions? Otherwise, I am concerned that this WONDERFUL Addon may eventually not work on my Thunderbird.

The compatibility of Account Colors 9.2 has been updated to Thunderbird 3.1 - 52.*.
