As previous user mentioned, if you are not comfortable or do not know how to change install.rdf file, please see the following link -- at the bottom you will find the modified xpi file to install directly.

It seems to work as is on FF3...
you just need to modify the install.rdf file in the xpi to change tu max version..

hey its a very nice add-on but can you please upgrade it for the Firefox 3.0.
I can't upgrade my firefox because of this add-on. I use the option 'Close To Tray' too often and this makes me sick when I really close the firefox.

Please please, upgrade it.

Is there any word on this being updated for the latest version of Sunbird? In 0.8 it tells me that it doesn't work for that version.

muy util esta extencion, lastima que ya no es compatible con el firefox 3, ojala algien pudiera poner esta gran extencion de nuevo en circulacion.

It's useful extension and works properly in FF2 and this FF3 compatible version that DickS recommended works in FF3 properly too.

i installed this so i could use minimize to tray enhancer so firefox would load at startup to tray . now firefox has the fastest startup of all the browsers.

I downloaded the update for FF3 but it doesn't seem to do anything when i try to install it?

There is a FF3 compatible version which can be downloaded here:

This was the last remaining non-FF3 add-on that I was missing. Cant live without it.

You will get the not compatible with Sunbird 08, But After you do the following instructions it would be working just fine!

To make MinimizeToTray compatible with Sunbird 0.8,
you just have to edit the install.rdf file of
MinimizeToTray (Its name is probably a weired mix of
mix of characters and numbers).
The file is inside the extensions folder of your
Profiles folder (Have a look in your application data
folder).( look into your documents and settings and
then find a folder named after your own user name)

1) Open install.rdf to do some text editing.

2) Go to the section Sunbird

3) and change the max-version setting to

0.9*

4) Save the changes.

Sunbird 0.8 did not recognize the change by itself.
So you have to

5) make a backup of the whole MinimizeToTray folder

6) Uninstall MinimizeToTray (by the usual
uninstallation procedure OR just delete the folder)

7) Restart Sunbird to let it confirm the uninstallation.

8) Copy the MinimizeToTray (with its modified
install.rdf) back into the extensions folder.

9) Restart Sunbird.

And you should be good to go

Great extension!
It would be even better if I could set my own shortcut to evoke it, ctr+shft+M is clashing with Stylish addon that i like as well.
