Great Add-on, make it work with chatzilla windows and it will be perfect.

Absolutely perfect! Gives me precise window sizes, which helps me when developing web pages for different platforms.
FYI: I see on the bottom-right corner the window size expressed in width x height (in my case, 1440x870 - would be 1440x900, but the mac menu bar steals that many pixels from the top). Click on that and a menu pops up.
And my favorite default size is maximized, so I just hit the plus sign. Should I need a new default, I know I can create one in there and just select it as needed.
If only I had this add-on about ten years ago, my life would've been MUCH easier.

Firesizer with Firefox 3.6...
Am wondering where and how to use Firesizer. It's installed, and FF 3.6 restarted, but Firesizer doesn't show up anywhere in any menu, and it doesn't show up in the Customize Toolbar area, either.
Would be great if it was obviously there somewhere, as can't use it if it's that hard to locate.
Firesizer displays the current resolution in the status bar (bar at the bottom of the screen). Right-click this area to see the options menu. This is the only interface provided by firesizer.

any1 to edit this addon and make this new feature:

This meets my needs perfectly. I need to be able to resize my window to exact dimensions for video tutorial production, and this does the job! It does what it claims, accurately and efficiently (OS X 10.6.2, Firefox 3.5.6). Thank you!

This is a nice idea. However, there is an issue.
The size in the status bar is displaying the size of the Firefox WINDOW, but not the size of the actual VIEWABLE AREA. For example things like the status bar, menu bar, bookmarks bar, tabs bar and side bars all take up room that makes the website actually SMALLER then the size given. In my case, I have my tabs on the left hand side of the screen going up and down, and this takes up more space in the window.
So what am I getting at? There should be TWO modes to Firesizer. One will calculate the screen size by how big the WINDOW is, and the other mode would calculate it by how big the actual viewable area is inside the window. For me, these two numbers would differ in several hundred pixels.
Thanks for the consideration...
Regards,
Scott
This functionality is by design, and is specifically stated in the description. It makes no sense to me to have the HTML area resize when no user is ever using only an HTML area. If you are a developer and creating web sites and using the HTML area size as your target, you are doing it wrong, since no real user would ever be seeing your site like that. There are some other extensions that resize to the HTML area and not the whole window.

This would be perfect if there was a way (like the other similar extensions have) to change the Window size setting with shortcut keys. Preferably with custom keys, but Alt+1/2/3.. etc. would do just fine.

Perfect plugin for getting sizing right with web development. It doesn't say it in the description, but it allows you to add and store custom sizes...then provides them all to you in the status bar (using a right-click). Even let's you store "current size".
Thanks!

I have a large (for me anyway) screen and no longer use my browser full window. I love that firesizer let me be consistent as I develop websites and for my own comfort level too. Excellent extension!

Great plugin. It would be even better if it generated resize events.

das geht, aber für manche Sachen reicht auch ein Bookmarklet oder etwas Javascript http://tr.im/1024x768 javascript:window.resizeTo(800,600)

Same suggestion as Oreb:
Option to default to custom size when opening firefox.

I like this and use it all the time so I have the exact Firefox screen size for my monitor.
What I'd really, REALLY like is a lock on that screensize. I'm constantly tweaking it as I use the right scrollbar. And then I have to reize again.
I don't think it's in about:config - that would be enabling or preventing code from setting the size, not fumble fingered users.
Anyway, without this extension, I'd really be lost; at least this way I can get it back to my custom setting.
So, from me, Oreb, to developer Orev, thanks. :~)

This is the best window resizer!.. Just the quickest & easiest to access. Superb job, although I found it hard to find it again after a OS reinstall when searching for it in the add-ons.

I have a resolution of 1280*800. This addon shows me a 1288*748. Where did these extra 8 pixels?
Esta valoración es de una versión anterior del complemento (0.92).When you make a window full-screen, it is actually bigger than your screen so you can't see the border. This is why the width is too big. The height is smaller because some of that space is used by the Windows taskbar.
