Nice little addon. But it misses a few things:
(1) Right click to stop all buttons isn't intuitive because right click is usually for menu. I prefer Ctrl + Left click or Shift + Left click, which is consistent to how reload button works.
(2) It would be nice to have a new tooltip to remind the extra function added to the Stop button.
I have hacked the code to add the above functions too for my friends and me. If you find the above functions useful for you too, you may download this hacked addon:

@ Reverse Quick, it works fine in Firefox 3.5.1. "Customize" toolbar function is also working. Perhaps there are some conflicts on your Firefox.

FireFox 3.5.1 - Active Stop Button prevents "Customize" menu item from working.
No windows with buttons/spacers etc. is shown.
Please, fix it.

Work fine in 3.5

I like this add-on, but seeing as it is not updated for 3.5... I'm just bout to uninstall it. Does anyone know, if the creator of this add-on is ever gonna update it??

Gave it a bad rating because user neglects to update the software to function with Firefox 3.0. I see no buttons to stop all!

Great addon been using it all this time on FF3 since I disable compatibility checks thanks for officially updating to FF3.

This add-on is helpful, but the stop button is not made "always" active; for example, during initial loading, the stop button is almost never active. And for some pages, it is completely ineffective. There seems to be a correlation between the effectiveness of this add-on, and websites that disallow the 'Back' button function (clicking the Back button just reloads the page; one must click the downarrow next to the Back button and select the prior page).

very useful when you want to stop and you normally can't
it can be made to work with FF3, hasn't caused any problems in mine, but it could
it is made for FF2 but you can change a file inside so it thinks it works with FF3 but it is really dangerous and could stuff up Firefox deleting ALL profile data (or worse corupting OS)
try downloading as a file, changing extension .zip, open install.rdf and change the max version for firefox to 3.0.*
save, rename as .xpi and drag to addon windows
remember, this is REALLY dangerous

I think this extension is great, but I'm waiting for quite some time now and still the FF3 version isn't here.
Maybe someone can tell me if it will be released or not.

I can't live without this plugin. It's great for restoring a saved session with many tabs that you don't necessarily was to immediately reload. I just need a Firefox 3.0 version now please.

Looks like a great idea. However, when I attempted to install it, I get "Install script not found." I hope that someone will attempt to fix this someday, it could prove to be handy. I wonder, though, if it's very well done, since the creator apparently hasn't tested the installation. Hmm.

I wrote a slideshow program that preloads the images in the background. This plugin is the only way to stop this without reloading the page.
I also find animated gifs annoying sometimes. Thanks
