Love it. I find myself using the Download from cache option much more often than the other. Works nearly everywhere media is served. Only problem I've found is trying to watch a Silverlight presentation, which made NVH go berserk, just climbing in ½ sec. video counts indefinitely. But who among us prioritizes Silverlight over the other 99.9999% of the web? 5 enthusiastic stars!

It works great. Latest update is broken (empty list of videos).

This really works very well with the other addon called BetterCache. You simply tell bettercache to remove the nocache headers from video sites, increase your disk cache to a GB, and all videos you watch will store in disk cache, and you can simply right click in NetVideoHunter and transfer from cache to a directory of your choice, and I love the way it renames files. It is so much better in renaming the actual video than any other addon I've used.

This is a very well thought out addon. The only thing is, latest update shows an empty list, and on top of that, the author provided a fix for that, but that fix does not work on Firefox 3.5 (AMD64 Build of Shiretoko 3.5.1pre Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1pre) Gecko/20090707 Firefox/3.5 GTB5)). It says it is not compatible with my version of Firefox, however the addon installs fine. Fix the 'fix' and you'll have it down. Also, I'm giving it a full 5 starts because there is no reason to take off any rating stars because of a simple bug, which I'm sure the author will address.

bbmao it's no longer supported, and I wanted an addon that worked with Firefox 3.5, and i wanted an add on not a program (like orbit downloader), so then my friend found this add on, and it's perfect! Just like bbmao!

I love the idea of being able to download videos from Youtube, but it isn't much use to me because the file format isn't supported by any other video players.

I desperately needed a video of metacafe and essentially just ran through pretty much every .flv video downloader there was until I found one that worked. This was it.
In the past there has been no end of excellent downloaders, yet with the most recent version of Firefox it seems many of them stopped working. Not NetVideoHunter!!

Just downloads and plays the audio of a Youtube video, no visual on my win XP machine.

Probably its not the addon's fault but the player what you using for playing the downloaded video. Try VLC player or another player which is able to play FLV video format.

Well i installed and headed srtaight over to .nfb.ca but turns out to be another pluging that is over hyped.
When a video plug-in can save films from NFB then that will be the king of them all.
