Updated review on 21Sep2021 using 1.3:
After noting the developers response, I re-enabled the extension and upgraded it to 1.3 and can confirm that when I tested with a folder containing 1477 emails, they were all correctly removed in batches of 100.

There is a minor issue where the count seems to reset to 100 when it reaches 1000 (so the status bar states that 577 items were removed after the operation is complete) but that is pretty minor.

My thanks to the author for bug fix. I often want to empty folders full of notification emails and a one-click empty functionality is something I have sorely missed from Outlook.

Original review from 20Sep2021 with 1.1:
Unfortunately this extension doesn't seem to work quite as advertised. I've tested it on several folders on POP3 accounts and each time it has only deleted a few emails and left the rest behind. After trying to empty one folder 3 times, I gave up and just used the keyboard hotkeys.

A shame as this extension should be very useful!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).

This is due to a performance base approach of the Thunderbird API with getting messages from folders. By default, a "chunk" of many messages consists of 100 messages. The plugin had a small bug in which only 100 mails plus a few were deleted per execution. I just fixed this bug with version 1.3.
Sorry this caused you inconvenience. Happy to help anytime!
