I really like being able to see the weather forecast and weather alerts in my browser and this add-on hasn't given me any trouble, but AccuWeather isn't very accurate. If it rained as often as Accuweather predicted rain and/or claimed it was raining right now, I'd be living in a houseboat.

Excellent extension! Thank you for your work. Do you plan to make it Netscape compatible? Would be really really nice. Can\'t wait!

This plugin is awesome, much better than it's predecessor. Only one suggestion: There needs to be an option to either display a label of the city or the name of the profile on the forcastfox bar, because right now, the only way to tell is by hovering your cursor over the icons. If the forecast calls for "Cloudy, 74 degrees," i want to also know, by glancing, which location/profile is this forecast referring to?

Thanks for this wonderful plugin, looking forward to updates and improvements.

I'd rate it about 8 or 9 if it wasn't using AccuWeather. While I understand it may have a flexible API, I'd like to see something from Weather.com or even Weather Underground. I've noticed so many inaccuracies in AccuWeather, even now, as it rains, it shows clear skies and warm temperatures. I'm cold and wet!

But, well-developed app so far. Look forward to seeing better source of weather data, though.

I like this add-on. Quite convenient.

An enhancement I would like to see is hovering over the "Severe weather alert" icon to see what type of alert it is (e.g. Flood warning), without having to open a new tab and go to the web page. This may be difficult to do by screen scraping, as the severe weather alert content on Accuweather is not logically formatted.

I agree with "Oscaron" that it would be good to enable different data sources. E.g. http://www.weather.gov/alerts/wwarssget.php?zone=TXZ119
(XML feed of alerts, by "zone".) Or wunderground... their severe weather alert content looks favorable to screen scraping (e.g. flood warning is FLO, high winds are WND).

Maybe if the data-retrieval part is modularized out, different contributors could write those components for the data sources they wanted.

I like the fact that you can see the weather in your area anywhere in the world and set up an X day forecast. However, when doing other things, the area map will sometimes pop up unexpectedly...ditto for the right/left click options popup. This is only a minor inconvenience in and of itself, yet it is compounded by its frequency - about once every 3 - 5 minutes on average.

Let me first say that I love this addon. Nicely done.

But...it doesn't make up for the fact that it only uses Accuweather for a data source.

Accuweather has long attempted to be the only distributor of Weather Forecasts and Data, even to the point of trying to get their home state's Senator Santorum to submit Bill after Bill making it illegal for the NWS to distribute free data to the Public, but to do so for companies like Accuweather.

Promoting this Addon, and Accuweather along with it, will encourage Accuweather to continue its practices. It'd be hard to imagine a future where you had to pay for weather forecasts, ho Accuweather is surely trying.

Add other data sources and I'll change the review guys.

Like GlaserCrew, I had the same problem and also uninstalled everything first. I finally got the previous version working again, but not without a lot of effort.

Still like this extension though, so a fix or explanation for this problem would be great.

Thanks.

Instead of showing my current weather information in the lower bar it now shows "ff.cc.panel.label". I did as asked and uninstalled the old one first. Help with this would be nice, please. I like this extension and would hate to uninstall it.
