It's actually a load of old crap that fails to live up to any of the grand promises made. I uninstalled it inside an hour and won't bother with it again.

This tool is way better than other ones like video downloadhelper etc., but there's a pretty disadvantage: I can't move the NVH button from the status bar and there's no other way to open it...so I have to use the status bar though I don't want it.

NetVideoHunter is a wonderful add-on. I wish that I had found it a long time ago. It has one or two minor quirks that my system has to work around, but all-in-all, it's highly reliable and easy to use for my specific application. I can't speak highly enough of it.

this add-on is a simple, straightforward option for downloading various media. my only problem with it was finding it here to download/install it!

Works great!
This worked flawlessly to download a flv file from an obscure website. The instructions did disappear, but the pane can be dragged open to read the instructions. I also found that Adobe Media Player played the flv file.

Works pretty well. Doesn't redirect to some site just to process and log the URL of the video you're downloading, unlike some extensions! Best and simplest FLV downloader I've found so far.

ATTENTION! This program makes the download in FLV format, wich means you need a specific player and won´t be able to use it in programas as Windows Media Player. I prefer the Free FLV Converter by koyote Soft that downloads and converts the file to other format at the same time.
ATENÇÃO Este programa baixa o video em formato FLV o que significa que vc precisará de um player espeifico. Prefiro programas como o FLV Converter da Koyote Soft que bai e já converte pra outro formato.

for more than a week now this add-on NetVideoHunter isn't working. it won't let me see the wording that appears & disappears quickly when i click on it. and its main screen that's supposed to play music videos shows an "ok" which when i click there's no reaction. the side panel shows the videos i dwonloaded on any given day, but when i click them they won't play, except a voice pre-programmed voice issueing quickly pronouncing the word "stopped".
or at times shows "playing" then "connected" but then quickly saying "stream not found". on the side panel it shows the downloadable/downloaded items of the day, with words "play" above and "download" underneath. but when pressing "play" there is no reaction. and pressing "download" prompts the computer's "save" options, which, when done, still indicates that one's computer hasn't got the software required to play the music video. the saved or downloaded item reflects as flat item with no software. prior to installing i had miro, which, though able to capture and store some videos it wasn't able keep store others and lacked options for saving; i uninstalled miro and installed NetVideoHunter to no betterment of the situation. pity it has no menu icons.
