No problems here and works just as is described. An older review mentions that it conflicts with Compact Headers but that is not the case any more. I can keep Compact Headers on and when I view emails in classic mode (which I sometimes still do for my own reasons) the CH addon does its job.
The only reason I'm dropping a star is a minor point: The toolbar buttons (reply, fwd, del, junk) are disabled in conversation view. I know all the options (except junk) are available in the conversation view as smaller buttons and via the "more" drop-down list, but I'm really used to just moving the mouse up to the toolbar for delete or junk.
Still. Great addon!

Дополнение полный отстой. Заявлено, что после его удаления должны все настройки вернуться в состояние, предшествующее установке. По факту всё остаётся в изменённом состоянии и приходится потом дрюкаться целый час, чтобы восстановить привычный вид.

OMG this is *so* cool! Now I can use Thunderbird and still have my gmail threading and display style intact! This is fantastic!

OK but conflicts with CompactHeader, (which I like). 'Conversations" trblsht response is delete compact header, which isn't helpful. Deleted conversations instead.

It seems to work quite well. only downfall is it appears that the bottom forward and reply links are not coded correctly as clicking reply gives me a plain text e-mail field. The same links in the messages in the same thread always work correctly. It's only in the bottom message. But I'm also using Mac, so that may be the problem too! :)

Very good extension, especially if you like GMail-s conversation style. One minor problem I had is that the quick-reply messages do not show up in the threads. The normal replies do show up, after configuring Thunderbird to copy sent messages to the Inbox. Somehow this does not seem work for quick replies.

I'm not sure why we have this arcane file folder type display. Many have complained it is confusing and not useful. Don't build a feature that even Google abandoned as unusable.

La extensión más útil, bien diseñada y cómoda de thunderbird.

I've just installed new version (2.2.2) and it finally works with Enigmail — thank you, great job. And now ( :-) ) could you please perhaps add somewhat easier access to GPG stuff of the GPG encrypted or signed mails? Now it is only accessible by clicking “More–View using the classic reader” and there using the “Details” button on the GPG panel. Thx a lot.

My favorite 5 stars. Thank you!!!
But when I set the add-on to collapse all the messages by default, I cannot focus on the clicked message within the whole thread. Can this be improved?
It would be nice if we can set to show 3 lines or more text (optional) when messages collapsed during threading.
It would also be nice if default view of an expanded message will only show about 5-6 lines (optional) of the total 10 or 20 lines (sometimes a quoted message will not collapse...).
Both are my personal idea, not that important.
Not to the topic, if we can have 2 or more lines (option setting) in the message list panel, then we can have vertical view and no problem for reading space. We are waiting for TBxxx.

I'm going to play with it some more, but my main complaint at this point is that it won't allow mail to be opened in a new window.
Before filing a bug report, I looked at the FAQs and found this statement:
"open message in a new window doesn't work, and I don't plan on implementing it."
No reason why, just "I'm not gonna do it".
Maybe there's a valid reason as to why he won't be doing it, like it's difficult to implement, or he just thinks it's a bad idea. I prefer my emails to open in a new window. I don't like the tabs for several reasons, which is why I have it set to open in a new window. I don't know if the benefits outweigh this detriment. We'll see.
UPDATED: (I've disabled it)
While there are a lot of things in this that I really like, the inability to open emails into a new window is a deal-breaker for me. If that's not a deal-breaker for you, install this app, you'll probably like it.
I'll keep an eye on it to see if the author changes his mind though.

I am intrigued by this add-on and will be keep an eye on it. But for now I have to disable it because I really need to use my AllMain label for searching (both manually and via search function). Am I right, or am I missing something?
Also missing is an easy way for me to label an email so it goes to the correct gmail folder. Without I still have to have all my gmail accounts open in the tree anyway. At which point, this add-on loses a lot of its potential.

Wow, this add on needs more attention! It brings huge improvements to Thunderbird's email management and ease of use. So much easier to find messages now...
My only suggestion so far is to allow the option for each email to always appear separately in the main mail panel, rather than combing them into threads. I'd rather be able to see each individual email in that main panel (so that they are easier to find) and only get the conversation view (which includes sent mail) in the message panel.

this is a fine add-on! I looked for that. But:
1. using the reply there is no more signature to find...
2. printing schows ALLWAYS links and print them
:-((

Very productive addon! Thanks! There is just one flaw: It doesn't work with LookOut 1.2.13 addon (winmail.dat integration)! TB 7.0.1 here.

Hides too many useful things such as Source Code, Reply all, etc. Think it's good for unexperienced users

this wasn't for me, with a lot of different accounts already the way this sorted things out wasn't much to my liking. So I was quite pleased that on uninstall everything went back exactly as it was except marking a lot of read emails as unread.
Which means, give it a try,

Does enough nice things and makes some nice cosmetic changes that I'd like to use it, but when I installed on TB 8.0 it basically killed a number of functions.
-The forward and back buttons on the Email toolbar were disabled.
-TB ignored an option setting so that it always closed the email tab when I deleted a message rather than go to the next message.
-If you select to "send and archive" it doesn't save a copy of the email in the originating folder even though that option is set in the accounts settings.
-When I attempted to disable the add-on and switch to the default appearance it didn't. I had to start TB in the special mode for disabling all add-ons to get back to the default appearance, then enabled one add-on at a time until I figured out that it was this one that caused the problems.

The key feature I was looking for was to have all of my conversation, including sent messages and deleted messages, available whenever a new message came in for a conversation. This saves me from having to keep messages lying around in my inbox just because someone *might* respond to a previous message and continue the conversation. This plugin delivers on that front. Yeah!
What I don't like is the way it radically changes the UI. The Gmail UI that it imposes on you is not bad, but it clashes with Thunderbird's existing UI. For example, I *like* TB's tree view of conversations better than Gmail's flat view. The changed interface also makes it hard to find the reply-all and forward buttons (it actually DISABLES TB's native buttons for conversations with more than one message in them). It would be nice if it gave you a choice: classic TB vs. Gmail interface. The developer clearly spent a lot of time working on the interface; sorry to be so negative about it, but if I wanted Gmail, I'd use their web interface instead of TB.
This extension also slows down TB, a lot. Whether that slowdown is due to the conversation indexing engine or the UI, I don't know, but it is irritating.
I'm keeping it turned on for now, until I get used to the trade-offs. We'll see whether I keep it on.
