Please INSTANTLY fix FF 57 so that Sessions Manager and also Tab Mix Plus (the most valuable add-ons of all !) will work again.
It is really a shame for the FF developers to have simply "discarded" this extremely useful tool - a tremendous mistake that (for the first time ever !) makes me question FF and my use of it !

What a browser should have been able to do out of the box!
Quantum my ass, no matter how fast it is, if it can't store my daily sessions of several windows, over a hundred tabs each window, then hell no.
Unless this gets updated or made usable by Quantum, I will just keep using old ver, or until the security risk isn't worth it anymore, I will switch to another browser.
I'd be happy to pay/donate if the dev ever want to update it.

Ich nutze Sessionmanager schon seit Jahren und es gibt nichts Vergleichbares. Seit FF Quantum funktioniert das Addon leider nicht mehr. Jetzt werde ich wohl parallel Waterfox installieren müssen, um auf meine Sessions zuzugreifen. Ich wäre ebenfalls bereit, etwas zu spenden bei Kompatibilität zu FF 57. Denn grundsätzlich ist Quantum bezüglich der Performance gelungen.
Alternative: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/my-sessions/ mit MySessions kann man alle Sitzungen importieren und speichern; Kompatibel mit Ff 57 Quantum //with MySessions you can import old sessions from Session Mangaer and save them. I tried it and it works well, not so fast like Session manager, but it is compatible with Quantum.

Been using this plugin for years - never gone wrong - shame on firefox for not supporting it in 57+ - just what am I supposed to do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. There is no real alternative to this - imagine going back to bookmarks ?

I, too, am a long time user of Session Manager, and very upset that Firefox 57 will not allow its use. I have come to depend on it for loading previous sessions saved over a large timescale. No other extension offers the same flexibility and I would be lost without it.
Alas, until and unless the folks at Mozilla update the necessary API's (Application Programming Interfaces) that Session Manager uses, the developer cannot make his extension compatible with Firefox 57+.This MAY happen but it may take time. It's Mozilla's fault, not his!
Meanwhile you can block the upgrade to FF57 and carry on using FF56 (at risk of security vulnerabilities) or download & install Waterfox (it's only available in 64 bit) or Firefox ESR ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/switch-to-firefox-extended-support-release-esr ) which will allow you to use the old extensions (including Session Manager) for a few months longer
You can also sign up for an account with Bugzilla, the forum for the developers of Firefox, and vote for these API's to be sorted out.

Please follow Bugzilla etiquette, and just vote for the bug without commenting. Comments like "you need to fix this!" aren't helpful. Leave the comments to the experts.

Please update this plugin for FF Quantom. I know the FF team messed up badly. You can guess that when CEO of FF emailed us about how cool the new update will be. Granted it feels faster but AT THE EXPENSE of loosing much loved plugins including this one. It is NOT the responsibility of the developer (who works for free and wrote a plugin for your platform) to update his/her work at your request cause you NUKED the API and asking everyone to commit their time to your bad decisions.

Love Session Manager. I should say loved it. Do not love what the 'know it alls' have done with FF API's. As of now, FF 57, I don't have Session Manager and I don't have Tab Mix Plus. This is not how application developers work in the real world. These FFF...heads are only answerable to themselves. THEY decided what the product was going to be, and screw the user. This wouldn't have even occurred in the corporate sector. I'm speaking from 30+ years experience in IS&T development. Time to look for an alternative to FF.

It worked perfectly well for me and saved me a lot of trouble every time Firefox would crash! Please tell me there will be a version compatible with Firefox Quantum! :/

Please update plugin to FF 57. I lost about 68 windows. It's horrible from mozilla to block this plug-in.

just removed ff57 and installed ff 56.0.2 Fuf. My tabs are saved. Yeah! Just switched off FF update.
What else could I do? Unpleasant situation

FF Quantum 57.0.1 CAN SAVE TABS!!!
Now it's no necessary to use plug-in to work with a lot of tabs.
Just update FF to 57.0.1 and be happy =)

Firefox automatically updated today and now Session Manager does not work, as it is not compatible with this version. So far I have lost 118 tabs that I was working on and my day is pretty much wrecked. If I can't revert and get them back, my month is wrecked.

Session Manager is easily one of the most useful and, for me, essential Firefox Addons.
I could not imagine using FF without it anymore.
This Addons is the sole remaining reason for me to not switch to Firefox 57(+) yet, and I really hope Mozilla is coming through and will provide/support the remaining API calls necessary to go forward.
Thanks for this wonderful Addon and all those years of support!

The list of people who likes your extension is growing by the minute. I count myself one of those. If you can find the time it would be nice if you could make it compatible to the new Firefox 57.
In any case, many thanks for the work you have done for the extension to date.

Best tool I've used in Firefox. Helped me a lot with multiple assignments and projects, all in parallel. Got completely dependent on it.

raelly the best i can't let go of it, but with the new version of firefox (quantum ) we are out of luck, it's not supported, I'm a developer my self (stay learning though), if i can help i will hhhh, i want to see it work with the new moz my email : allalmohamedlamine@gmail.com

Session Manager by M. Krfat is the best extension available to manage sessions. It took me a while to fully grasp its potential but with time it has become an essential part of my browsing experience. Unfortunately it does not support (yet?) the latest Firefox Quantum update (Nov 2017). Hopefully it will. Anyway thumbs up for the great work! Update: just wrote him to flag the issue.
