I recently started using v1.15.1 and like it.
When I save the Dump List as a text file, is it just my computer or is it normal that the file is output with only line feed characters at the end of each line, instead of line feed + carriage return?
Printing directly to the printer produces a nice looking print-out, so I've started saving the list in that manner instead of saving it as a text file.
Hello Paul, this is fixed in version 1.15.2. You can download it from my site: http://www.sogame.cat/eldumper/

I love this add-on. It worked great using OS X 10.6.x. However, it won't save anything using 10.7 (Lion). I hope it will be updated soon! Thanks!

This is a well-thought-out extension and helped me make an add-on collection much easier than Mozilla does! The export list is extremely thorough, covering info such as add-on version, description, and compatibility as well as application (browser/mail) info and date of installation. You can select whether all, active, inactive or incompatible extensions should be listed in text, html, csv (semi-colon or comma delimited) or BBCode format. The list can be saved, printed directly or simply copied to the clipboard! Excellent and simple!

I love this extension, it really helps me figure out what extensions I need when I am setting up Firefox on a new computer.
One suggestion:
When outputting in HTML format could you give us the ability to use custom CSS on the (Disabled)/(Incompatible)/(Disabled, Incompatible) entries?

This should be build into all Mozilla products. Very nice. Please update to work with Firefox 4!

This is a great extension.
Only one thing, I wish there were an extension, maybe there is and I don't know, that could take the output list and automatically install all the extension on the list on a different installation of Firefox.

I was just wondering if you could start a sync for extensions lists for people where they can make their account and sync like bookmark service x-mark? Would be icing on the cake, other than that, great idea!

This add-on is very useful and very necessary. Firefox should make this a standard feature.

Not a jack of all trades. This extension does what it says it will, and does it well.

ironically i forgot what this extension was called, and when i came to install addons on my laptop i couldn't find it. i didn't know what to look for because 'add-on' and 'extension' are tagged on everything, and list and save are common too.
thus i think this is one of the hidden gems of firefox, everyone needs it but few have found it.

Incredibly useful addon! I have been looking for something like this for quite a while and this is the only thing that does this that i can find!
It does exactly what it says quickly and efficiently and without mistakes.
Thank you!

This extension helped me to reinstall brand new Firefox in other PC. Thanks.
I like TSV (tab separated records) as well as CSV, because TSV works well when I paste it on Google Spreadsheet.

A request was made to compare Extension List Dumper and InfoLister. I give both 5 stars, here is my comparison in some detail:
Brief Comparison of Extension List Dumper (ELD) and InfoLister (IL):
1. The biggest difference between these 2 extensions is that ELD works in the extensions (add-ons) window and generates an output file, and IL sits on the Tools menu (by default, this is configurable) and displays a list any ordinary FF window. IL can also generate an output file, that's an extra step, albeit very easy.
2. ELD allows you to specify all, enabled, disabled, incompatible. IL allows you to specify extensions, themes, plugins.
2. Both can save in various formats ... txt, html, BBCode. ELD offers csv, IF offers xml, xpi list, XML, XML+XSLT. IL allows for use of custom templates.
3. Both highlight disabled extensions. For me, IL does this in a more visible way, with "[Disabled]" appearing to the right enough to stand out nicely.
4. If you select HTML in ELD, then both provide links, where available.
5. ELD enables inclusion of the extension description.
6. IL provides the ability to upload via ftp, http, https, and to do so automatically on exit (presumably from FF, I did not test this feature.)
7. ELD offers buttons to print and copy to clipboard.
Well, I hope I haven't missed too much. Thanks to both developers, both extensions appear to me to work flawlessly. I actually have both installed, precisely because one works in the UI, the other in the extensions window. So I can get a list from anywhere.

ape,
click on tools, then add-ons.
a pop-up appears with the list of add-ons.
notice in bottom corner of pop-up, you see dump list button. click on it and thats where the dump list appears. i liked the copy to clipboard.
very good app.
